215/45 18 tire...any suggestions?

OK I am currently running 215/40 in the front and 225/40 in the rear. The front tire's sidewall is thinner than the rear. I am thinking of going with 215/45 series for the front, but it seems like Falken doesn't make FK452's in that size (this is the brand and model I have in the back).

So here's my question: What tires are out there that strech well and have similar thread pattern to FK452's? Price-wise I'd like to keep each tire under $200.

my 215/40s and 225/40s have hte same profile

its on 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. The stretch is mild...nothing too over the top.

mine are on a 9j and 10j....

so yeah, i cant really help yuo there, i run a 225/40 and a 235/40 on my wifes celsior with a 8 and 9 j since she does all highway driving

hmm....I checked the overall sidewall difference between 225/40 and 215/45 and the 45 series tire will have sidewall thats 6mm thicker. Not sure how thats gonna look.

Right now what's driving me nuts is that the coilovers are as low as they will go, but i still have 1 finger gap between the fender and the tire. I may be able to get another 1/4" out of the front...but thats about it. With the 45 series tire up front I should be able to have no gap...which is what I'm trying to achieve in the first place. The other option is to sell my current coilovers and go for the H&R UltraLow version.

Get different coilovers. 45 series on 18s is too big, especially on a small car like yours.
