$1,000 per rim.......What do you think?

MAYA WHEEL......O , how I love a 5 star black wheel with a chrome lip. This wheel has a (race) look to it but Im sure you guys can respect a wheel like this.(I hope)! You guys think this will work with my car as long as I get a nice offset and still be %100 VIP?

Maya=Trafficstar rebadged for the US. Hit up a vendor, they can get you the Trafficstar version of these wheels for around the same price.

Do you have a side view of the car with the wheels? I think the look alright. The offset seems good too.

not only is a less respected rebadge, but its not one of the better designs imo. this is where you need to be:

That Maya wheel isn't a Riverside wheel, at least not on the Riverside website

At 1k per wheel they'd better be forged

Polish is far superior, definitely.

I'd lol my ass off at a forged wheel with a chrome lip.

I used to be a polished outer kind of guy but I finally got fed-up with keeping after the damn things.

The Japanese wheels use a clear anodize that no finisher in the USA can duplicate, so that's a concern if you curb one, they get scratched, or someone sprays chrome cleaning solution on them (stains the clear anodize).

I made the switch to chrome outers a few years ago and now I don't spend my weekends polishing my uncoated rims or staring at my foggy-looking clear anodized rims.

Speaking of laughing, buying a three-piece wheel that you can't replace rim sections on is pretty funny, too! (the Japanese manufacturers don't sell rim sections... damage it and you get to purchase a whole new wheel!). I'll have to be extra careful with the new SSRs on the Hachi...

my brother totally trashed a SP1 19" on his M3...I had to special order another and it took 6 months. I swapped the barrels since the face was a US only custom color and the replacement rim was black faced.

Chrome lip is shinier....why isn't everyone going out and chrome dipping their lips? The only chroming I want to do is the inside barrel.

and you're not polishing the metal on your rims but more the clear coat. If you strip the clear coat and get to bare metal and polish you'll get even a better shine BUT they will get hazy/foggy in about a week or less.

I'd rather not have a chrome barrel...especially running a cambered wheel, that barrel takes most of the impact (after the tire, so say a huge pot hole) and chroming will weaken the metal making it more brittle..

And for the record, 4k for rims, that look like bleh, is too much.
