nice car and pics. you should crop the first pic down a little bit so u can focus more on the car and not the space above it. other than that, great pics and great angles. sometimes the weird angles are cool, but they mostly hurt peoples' eyes. i'm glad u didn't do any weird angles

It was really nice seeing the car in person this week Roy. The ride quality was a little stiff but great none the less, I want coilovers sooo bad now :signdammit: . Just waiting for the right deal. LOL. The Vegas scene is definately coming up in VIP, it was nice seeing Dave's GS too. I wish Jojo(I think that was his name) would have brought his LS out, but his Element was pretty tight too. We'll definately have to keep in touch bro!!! Oh yeah the Hakosuka GT-R was all that and the some too, maybe next time we can ride out in that .

That's way out of context. I never said that literally. :rules:
If it's a new accepted VIP trend in Japan
AND I also have my personal reasons/taste, then why not?

i dont want to get into any arguments but...
when you say just because other people are doing it doesnt make it right, then what is right?
is there a specific books, rules and guidelines you have to follow just to be called VIP?
does vegasy33 car now become dub, because of the emblem? i dont think so.
now when mike (elpresidente) decided to go with a jag, did someone say, you are not vip because its not a lexus or infiniti which this forum has a thread on saying that those are the only bodies acceptable as a VIP? maybe i missed it but i havent seen it.
please not attacking anybody but just showing my opinions about VIP.

^^^^^^^A few folks did but they are not around anymore *(
I personally think that Jags are more styled than actual VIP..When I think of VIP I think of the most common cars you see in VIP mags and what friends have told me..I really like Jaguars as they are really nice exotic cars but I would honestly prefer a GS,LS or Q45 F50/Y33 for my project VIP car..why because I have only seen a few Jags that I actually like VIP styled..
The crystal emblems as I said before does remind me of the TIS wheel size badges I guess thats what makes me stuck on the DUB thang...the car in the OP thread is a sick Q and even though it has the Crystalized 19" badge it does not take away from the overall picture..ITs still looks VIP and I bet in person it looks better when the sun reflects on the crystals..something different...
When I first started doing the crystal thing I got a lot of good and bad comments but I did not care and just added more to compliment each piece more and finally achieved a look to me that sais VIP..but once again thats me some may not agree...
Wheels look nice and clean..

Not thick at all, highly polished stainless steel, 3M Automotive tape all around, not just the edge, all edges are curved in except for the smallest piece for the small window. I picked them up for 98 bucks shipped. Make sure you seach for the 6 piece kit, a lot f them out there are only 4 piece.

Uhm, you're not the only one to have lived in Japan...and I don't recall seeing any of that at any meets. Crystals are one thing...but that "wheels size" thing is seriously DUB. There's no way around that. Iced Out was not the first people to use crystals on cars. They may have implemented the idea into a company, but the concept is older than you think. I'm not knocking them as a company..hats off to him for jumping on when he did (please don't turn this into an argument). The DUB people love it. I don't have crystals on my car, but my wife does on her Benz..all Garson stuff.
As far as Rich's comment. It's okay for him to have his own opinion. But I base mine on the fact that nearly every month there's at least one XJ gracing the pages of either of the two most respected mags, so it'd be asinine to say it's not accepted (as vip..just want to clarify so there's no confusion), they are at most of the well known meets as well. I guess also the fact that the mags label it as "Euro VIP" might reflect something (that's their words..not mine). I prefer to have something that is more unique and high class.

I had some y33 chrome door pillars, they sent them to me by accident when I ordered my f50 ones a while back. They were from yahoo japan and they were high qaulity. My friend bought some off of ebay and they were real thick and looked out of place since they stuck out too much. Im sure it varies with the seller though since both were "brand less"
