Nankang ns2/falkenfk452
i have allready made the decision to switch from the 452 to nankangs (too many bubbles) and i am aware that the nankang runs narrower and stretches differently/better(in my opinion)
my question is, if am not running into clearance problems with my 19x9.5+30(maybe with 5 mil spacer) with 235/35/19 fk452, do u think i will be able to go up a size and go to 245's with the nankings and have the same room to play with?
Keep in mind that my tires stretch unevenly because of wheel design so my stretch is really not that much on the outside right now
i dont feel like wasting money on getting the wrong size tires... any input is appreciated

Personally I would do 235 in the nanakang. Design and how narrow the Nankang tire is in 245 may equal the FK452 235 but that doesn't give you extra clearance.
I like to do a little smaller just incase and then adjust the camber/height/spacing to compensate.

i dont need extra clearance. just the same amount. i dont mind the stretch, i just want to have as much tire in front as possible. i think i shold be ok with 245 anyway. i dont mind a little rubbing. Lets me know i am low enough!

B.T.W. does anyone have a pic if a nankang on a 9.5 in 235 or 245?

You will be ok with 245. That size will actually run = to or even slightly smaller then the falkens.

nangkang tires are garbage and should not be used on vip cars pushing camber limits. sorry for being so direct about it, but ive seen these tires fail too many times. just trying to give my imput on the matter. about 30 members or so from my old car club will tell you the same thing.

hmmm.... im still on the fence about nankangs, cuz i actually heard different things about them actually favoring nankangs. and they are cheap so if they go then paying 100-120 is way better than 200-220 for another tire that is in the same case prolly still crap but heh. im getting falken 452 for dirt cheap and i am gonna see what it do

They lasted me half a year on NYC streets (pothole hell) and im not talking about an itty bitty titty stretch either. It all depends on how they mount them. They are one of the only tires I will run and one of the reasons I will not take a tire sponsorship from any brand unless I no longer need to run a massive stretch.

Cool. Just be alert since the highways are just as bad as the roads. Cant wait to see it dumped!

Im sure someone has a pic of that grey G50 with those 18x13 wheels. He pulled it off nicely but then the second owner flared out the doors and it didnt look that good. Hopefully someone could find that pic and maybe pm it to u I guess. goodluck
