AIMGAIN EURO VS SMARTLINE

Waazzz up....Ok I think I am going to order this kit Smartline kit...I personally have allways loved it especially the front bumper...
 
I know lotz of you would want to go with the euro line but for one Pancakes allready has it and there are pros and cons for me..
 
These are the differences between what I can tell
 
1) fog lights..all though the euro line has that MP look I do like the oval look as well and something different..
 
2) the euroline has splits in the bumpers front and back along the bottom
 
3) What I really like about the smartline is the way the front bumper looks like it flares out more than the euro edition and that it does not have the bottom slit..

Smart line...looks like the bumper sits lower or maybe just the pic...

4) The smartline looks like its a little lower and that the front bumper is not angled up...could be just the pics or maybe thats how it is since its an older kit...I love how the side of the bumper is flat and the fron lower portion is almost like it flares out at a downward angle kinda like the JP kits
 
5) side skirts seem the same
 
6) I am not sure but I think the rear bumper on the euro edition has the same split in it and the smart line has that lower agnled donward part like the front bumper...I have never seen a good quality pic in the smartline to tell the difference...
 
if any of you know any more differences or have better pics of the smartline..please post comments and pics so I can see and know more of the differences..I want to order this very soon so its here and painted before this summer...:biggthumpup: 
 
I all ready rulled no on the insurance kit as it hangs to low and I would have to raise my car...the wald kit I think its to much work to make it fit right..and I love the way the JDM bumpers dont stick out as much as the USDM bumpers...thanks for any help from you all that know more abuot aero kits than me...
 
ooooh I cant waite to place that call ...it was either a kit or a 60" Plasma tv but I think I will waite till my current tv fails on me before I step into the plasma world..I got enough toys this past xmas now its modding season so I am looking forward to stepping my game up...:biggthumpup: =)

They both look dope. I would lean more towards the Euro edition. But it's all on u sir.

^^^^^^Not to be rude bro believe me...I am not trying to talk down to you..but I am looking for the pics and the differences between the two...I personally like the front bumper on the smart line better....I am not crazy on the lower splits on the front and rear bumpers on the eurolines..no offence Pancakes...I have allways wanted the smartline  kit more than the euroline..If I did go the euro line I might as well go MP....but thats out of the question as people are allready rocking it...

I don't find it rude at all. But yeah man it's your call. I believe both of them look dope so it's a win win situation. AIMGAIN FTW!!

I also was faced w/ this tough descion! For me I choose the Euro line for these reasons:
-Euroline was the newest kit
-Not a fan of the oval fogs, IMO they too much like the job-line kit/G-answer kit/Vlene kit

I agree that the smartline does look like it drop down instead of up like mine but alos keep in mind that I have big ass 20s which makes my front way high than you see from the Aimgain examples (Yes this is my excuss fior now! HAhahaha!)
Either way you can't go wrong though! Both kits are dope and equally look good for different reasons! But if you can find a smartline kit, than go for it! That's a really old kit so not sure if they still make it or if it's easy to get (it is on thier site though...). Alos same goes for pics! Harder to find pics cause of the newer euroline kit.....

EDIT-Headlight types make a big difference IMO! I'm not feel the smartline so much w/ those plain headlights but w/ the round headlights, clear on your white car, it should look clean as hell!!!!

zion I'm with you on the smartline, I've always liked the smartline more for the y33.

the front bumper seems to flow better with the front end of the y33.

the euro line is nice to but at times it looks kinda deformed, on black it is not that noticable but more noticeable on lighter colors.

YOur not killing the thread pancakes..I wish I could see more of the smartline kit though....maybe boosty will chime in..he is allways finding dope VIP pics...
 
As far as the oval lights..I think look sick to me especially with some 6000K hids or 8000k hids...I was also thinking about putting some double projectors in those spots...hhhmmm will see what we can stir up..
 
BUt yeah my mind is set on the Smartline fo sho..so if they still have it I shall be ordering it...

yeah the more and more I look at that front bumper on the smartline the more I really like it..I just wish I could see this kit installed on a car preferbaly white...someone please post some pics...maybe its not that popular in Japan...

yeah I got that pic to but I am loooking to see the rear end of this kit....I think at that hieght I would have no problems driving around town...thats a plus...

well there is a certain limit you can do when on coilovers with a kit...that why I have not really pushed aero on  my car yet....I like riding low...and I dont want to have to raise my car up for clearance on the front bumper...riding low is the way to go but you have to be able to get around town and right now I for the most part can..if I have a kit that hangs three inches lower in the front I might not be able to make it over speed bumps at all..right now my front bumper is about 4" from the ground at my ride hieght..my cats are 1.75" above ground..so by adding a kit that makes my front bumper 1" from the ground..I see disaster without air..and air is not an option...these are the issues I am faced with..

You won't be riding that low! The Aimgain don't hang as low as you think!
I never left my car to get over obsticales! If I can't make to somewhere than I usally park on the street! and as far as speed bumps......I jus go ove them very slowly and land on the skirts, if I get stuck then I'll raise it. But I'm always too lazy to raise it...... Also my exhaust scraps more than anything else!

It was popular at one point....ALONG time ago but since they have the Euro now and because it looks alot like the Vlene and other kits, it's not that common! If I can get a hold of some old VIPmags I'll see what I can do.....

try to get the smartline front bumper, euroline rear bumper and possibly the wald side skirts.

that would make for a real, unique mix and match kit.

yeah that may look nice but I want the front and back bumpers to match..the side skirts well that might look cool but then again I would like them to match as well...I will have to try to photoshop how it would look if I can find some pics of the smartline rear end that I can actually see the image...on there site they use the balck one and its small so its hard to see detail...

the smartline rear bumper is very toned down, kinda bland, not as detailed as the euroline.

mixing and matching them would actually improve the look, you would be taking the best of the two kits and making them as one.

I'm not sold on it yet either.
Those are definatly two different styles!
But if you like the way it looks now maybe entertain the AC kit it's kinda like the stock bumper....:shrug:

I would keep the smartline sideskirts. Those are sick and clean door caps. Makes the body look slightly wider. btw if your going to mix and match its going to start getting more expensive.  Getting it more of a pakaged deal is cheaper.  i like the smartline all the way.  just do your two round fogs in the front like the kbreak kit and your straight!

YO "Z" if you wanna save + $400.....DON'T BUY the AIMGAIN fogs through them!!!!
They are cheap made!!!! They don't say Aimgain on them!
Mine are the same ones from a mercedees which can be found on ebay for about $40
Through Aimgain - +400!!!! Also Aimgain use to have them made by Hella but know they go through  D.E.P.O.
