Another Aero ???<< Version Select>>>
Ok so I have been debating a few aero kits..
I came across mikey from no-othr is selling this kit
has any one heard anything about this brand???? Looks good to me..but I am not on top of all aero kits out there..does remind me of the autoculture kit but has those vents below the fogs that the autoculuture kit does not have...

Version Select is a knock off brand basically. That aero was brought up a little while back by someone else..can't remember who, but yah. Quality isn't comparable to the real players. Personally I would stick to Aimgain like you planned.

yah I have, but it would require some cutting and re-painting. Your photoshop looks good ! U can get some projectors on ebay and find a way to make it fit.

personally I'd go with aimgain smartline, it's sweet for y33.
but the version select is not bad either, also mike chen (no-othr) is a great guy to deal with. You can't go wrong either way.
but either way u go, your going to lose about 3" of clearance.

thats one of the MAIN reasons I have not gone down the aero path just yet...I dont want to have to jack up my car for clearance...I want to be able to roll at the same hieght as I am now...but damn 3 inches lower in the front would look sweet coming down the road...

It would ... You just get to get harassed like yakodas13 about your kit if you get the version select ...
But he destroys his in like 3 days riding low ... so makes sense to get cheap if they break ..

*edit now i remember where i've heard that name. i actually like their s14 kit. i have a feeling theirs is also the mystery knock-off wald kit mentioned in another thread. i'd say no still... especially for a hardcore tradiotional vip gangster like you.

if you like the kit get the real one instead of version rip off...... unless you will mod the kit so much that it would be unrecognizable.

Uhhhhhh! Not this kit again! It continues to hunt me! :pat:
C4president has been buggin to get this kit ever since he bought the car! Im constently tryna talk him out of it! The kit is a knock off and will take some work to get it to fit your car. I guess if your willing to do the work you could turn it into a custom kit???? Since you like the fogs in the photoshop, you could go w/ those R230SL fogs which would look pretty dope.......
But yea if you like that kit I would jus go w/ the autocouture kit.
There's also the ogulation (Sp) kit available which was my first kit choice and I think DaygoVip was look at or this kit which personally I think isn't too bad and at one point said I was gonna get if Antbo had got the Aimgain before me! HAHahaha! =)
http://www.jds-cs.com/33cima/index.html
BTW-Aimgain kits come w/ a liesence plate holder! I jus didn't want to install it.....

version select also makes knock off wald executive kit for the y33 too. but imo if you gonna lose another three inch might as well go for it i mean dont wanna damage a kit costing 2200+ also painting it is bank too considering you dont have air.

I would highly suggest air suspension when going with any type of full kit.
it can get very problematic without having height control at your fingertips.

Thanks BRo...really appreaciate that...I see alot of cars out there with kits and I like them but I also think for some strange reason I like the way my car looks without a kit..for somereason it pulls it off very nicely..not trying to be big headed,,, but I am juggling the ideas..do I really need a kit to make my car look better???? and by adding a kit will it take anything away from my cars current appearance..Sometimes that happens..we buy something thinking its going to make a major difference and then it doesn't... I have shown a few kits to my wife and she doesnt see the need for a kit...hahahahah..anyways my favorite pic
BTW how did you like the tint..I never got pics..please pm me some pics dawg...

Yo not tryna suck your balls or anything but I've also thought your car is one of the top Y33 w/ or w/o a kit! It does help that you have great camera skills as well! HAhahahhaha! But yo whatever you decide it won't hurt you because we already love the current state of your car! ANd trust me a kit adds a whole new element look and feel to your car! Also my gurl said the same thing until I got the kit then she was like Ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaa that does look better!!! Now she won't let me sell the car!

Well when this thread first started I was trying to figure out more info on this kit because I never heard of it. I was not sure if it was name brand and just using the design implaments from auto couture like many wheel companies or was it just a fake trying to trick folks into a cheap priced kit as the real deal.. Its interesting that some say cool and some say nay...Ultimatly I think it goes against my way to sport a copy and not the real deal. For some reason I think it will come back to huant me if I was to go with the VS kit..no disrespect to no-othr. I know deep in my heart I will allways look at my car and think why did I not get the aimgain. That is the kit I have allways been wanting anyways. So I am pretty convinced that that is the best way to go. I hope that for the money that it fits like a glove otherwise I will be one pissed off mexican!
Caoboy I almost just decided to get the knock off just for you...hahahahahahahahaha....

Well when this thread first started I was trying to figure out more info on this kit because I never heard of it. I was not sure if it was name brand and just using the design implaments from auto couture like many wheel companies or was it just a fake trying to trick folks into a cheap priced kit as the real deal.. Its interesting that some say cool and some say nay...Ultimatly I think it goes against my way to sport a copy and not the real deal. glad to see you came to the right conclusion. i think someone who has championed for the vip cause so hard would have looked pretty weak giving in to a knock off.

YOu have to remember I had no Idea that it was a knock off at first..there are a lot of kits out there and thats the one reason I posted this thread in the first place. I did not say should I buy this knockoff..:rules:
NOw if I did buy the knockoff it would be for the pure fact that replacing front bumpers would be cheap and I would be modifing it anywayz to fit some round lights instead of the OEM lights that it supposed to use.
Folks in Japan do that all the time incase you did not know.
My deciding factor is not this forum or and what they think or worried about beeng bashed, its how I feel inside about sporting a generic/copy of an item..the same way I see fake rolex or fake swapmeet sunglassess etc...
My pushing the VIP scene is more about platform cars and using the right chasis and what not..not about doing custom work to make your car look better than the next guys..It does not make any sense to buy a real kit and destroy it trying to make it look different so its more of a one off kit...no matter what lots of folks think I still feel that custom work is VIP in its own rights...I would not advertise that I am using an auto couture kit..I would advertise that I was using a replica kit that has been customized to suite my design needs...see the difference...ITs all about beeing comfy in yuor shoes..
I do feel that you have tried to use my words I have said in the past against me and your new sig contributes to that perseption.

only thing I dont like about k-break are those front moldings..they seem out of place..Pancakes I think you did a great job in choosing your kit...the color is nice and everything flows nice..did you have any fitmnet issues????

I dunno I'm a Huge fan of everything K-break does! And I like the moldings! More so on dark colored cars. You could always remove the moldings and make it flush!
To be honest w/ you....I had the paint shop install the kit and everything lines up!
I've take the front bumper off a few times and the way it mounts is pretty nice! The only negative is that the bolt mount on the upper fender is loose on mine so right now it's a little off but it's getting repainted in a few so I'll try and fix that! Otherwise fitment is the best I've seen! They use all stock mounting and then some!
