St. Louis...what can you tell me about it?

How is everything there? How is the car scene, vip scene (if much at all), and laws on modified cars and what not? What issues if any are there. Also how is auto theft and vandalism? How cool is local law enforcement?

How expensive is it to live there? Gas prices, Food prices, etc.?

Add any info that you might find pertinent...thanks.

The Lou is cool...there are some areas where you dont go unless you know someone from that area anywho there is somewhat of an import scene but mostly there are alot of older guys with some real nice classics, sick bikes,a few hydrocars, some badass trucks 4x4 and lolows, and there are definitely some donks in the hood. My car is the closest thing to VIP style that Ive seen here Im a trend setter if you will...lol As far as laws and law enforcement on car guys these foos dont have a clue the Honda boys outta Cali would love it here now of course if your racing around town acting a fool hell yeah there gonna be on your ass but there not gonna be all under the hood examining your parts like this isnt stock they'll ticket you for whatever you did and keep it moving...auto theft and vandalism isnt crazy like in some states the cars that are stolen around these parts are domestic especially anything made by Chrysler but its usually just joy riden and left somewhere for the cops to find. There are some stupid kids in the bad areas that may carjack you if your not careful but honestly thats not a often occurance you gotta watch where you are but again thats in any town USA...The cost of living is beautiful here especially right now its a buyers market you can get a nice 3 bedroom home in a nice area starting price around $150-$200k...gas just went up to $2.88 from $2.68 the other day...food lots of good Italian restaurants in the area where I live called "The Hill" heres a few sites from some nice restuarants in the area...

http://www.cunetto.com/ great food nice price

http://www.saucemagazine.com/tonys/ pretty expensive baller status

http://www.favazzas.com/ great steaks at an excellent price I could go on and on...

Thats the rundown its not a bad place to be could definitely use more VIP cars hell a VIP car would be nice...lol thats why I definitely plan on doing something real soon...sorry for the late reply but hopefully you got some useful info...

few area cars for the hell of it...

few hood cats and all...

Here in Cali you couldn't get a 1 bedroom for that price! Well maybe now because of the housing market the way it's going! And I Would love to pay $2.88 for gas instead of +$4.80

Random Rant,

St. Louis is a great city, full of old old (albeit some run down and abandoned), architectural goodies. What is in use is quite beautiful and nice. I really like the old spaghetti house thats near the water front, as well as the whole Lacleads Landing area(great for a photo shoot). Not just for kids, but quite nice if you see it is The City Museum. I don't know if it's an artists nightmare or life inspiring masterpiece. Just a small glimpse of the history there. The city in it's entirety can seem quite sleepy at times, but if you look, you will see there is a lot to do and see. If you like music and pay attention you will see there are and always has been a large and diverse music scene growing there. Not sure if it's still the same, but if you venture down to "U" city (the area surrounding the University), there are quite a few dives and basement clubs where you can hear up and coming artists and just some local sensations. There are both cultural collisions and divisions there. Not so much on the surface as before, but there is a "KKK" presence there which can sometimes cause some racism and reverse racism. Seems to be the area that separates the North from the South. You"ll freeze your buns off, but this city holds it's own Mardi Gras and gay pride parades. When you want to get away from the old Highways that can barely hold the traffic (be very careful of the "criss-cross" exit ramps which are very very very short) just hop on the monorail which is quite nice, or make a stop at the botanical garden. Just outside the city, about 40 minutes I believe, is a Six Flags. Nothing makes for a great Fourth of July like Six Flags and enough fireworks to blow four fingers off any non suspecting persons hand... I loved this city when I lived there (I'm originally from E. St. Louis for those in the know, you might want to stay away from there, just watch National Lampoons Vacation, Ha!!). I would say to go visit first, make a friend and get a guide.... and stay away from Brooklyn/Washington park area if you want to keep your wife or girlfriend!!! Some may think I'm nuts, but I love the "Dirty" Chinese food, look for Imo's Pizza, and for those who miss having Gas after a night of getting blasted off their a**, don't forget the White Castle's. Also,if your a Potatoe chip fan (can't believe JBO didn't say anything) you have to have the RED Hot Ripletts (featured as one of the favorites in the "HIP HOP Chips" collection and famed in one of The Lunatics songs) and Hot Cheese Popcorn from Old Vienna. Oh yeah, here is where Great Bar B Q comes from.........

Wow, sounds interesting actually. These people are most likely going to think I'm some mafia hitman or something..haha. Rolling deep in the Vanden Plas with shaved head, 0 guage earrings, and 1/2 sleeves w/ chest plates. Should be a hoot..haha. They won't know what to make of me. I dig the interesting mix of architecture, it'll make for some cool shoots. I miss being around an amusement park, that should be cool too. jbo and I can have miniature VSC meets..haha.
