wow, rest in piece mr. coddington... i had the pleasure of meeting him in-person at the Ghost Bar in vegas (SEMA 2006)... super cool man, down to earth, very friendly and never boastful or arrogant. sat down w/me & neal, asked me i wanted a drink and how did i like SEMA, etc., etc., sad to hear an automotive industry icon has passed... my sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP for realz.

He had a lot of his cars in my Grandpa's shows and was one of the newer old school guys to help make custom streetrods something most people would know about if the word was said. He may not have always been the most personable guy (some what high strung), but he meant well for his business and for pushing the industry forward. Some of his cars where phenomenal, some were repetitive (his deuces)...but either way he was an innovator. It's always sad to see someone go who had such an impact, but many more will follow in his footsteps...some that were I'm sure motivated by Boyd's creativity. So regardless of his issues with the law...he should be remembered for how he kept car modification moving. RIP man....

man, was just watching American Chopper and at the end it said "in memory of Boyd Coddington" and i was awestruck. i grew up reading about his cars in HotRod when Foose worked for him and cant believe he's gone........
