deciding on new wheel choice
first off, sorry for creating so many wheel threads, but it was hard for everyone if i kept posting new wheels under specific topic name. so heres a general name.
what do you guys think about these wheels on my TL? they are really low price and look pretty sweet.
only thing i am afraid of, is that they look way too luxury for my TL. what do you guys think
MRR HR2 I will probably do 18's on them

IMO I'd rather spend the money on another lip kit, or even another car.
the lip kit looks very departed from the car, just my IMO.
and ya the hr3 would be too dressy for it, also the hr3 can get really boring after a few weeks. Your better off with the mrr hr6: PM me if your in southern cali, I know a shop that can hook u up nicely on MRR.

here's my thing with the TL... it's a sporty, light looking car with slick lines... to me, putting the HR3s on it is like putting winter boots on a model wearing a cocktail dress, it just weight down the whole thing.
I think, to keep the TL look slick, you should look into lightweight (as far as styling) wheels, deep enough to pull off a stepped lip or minimal lip.
Something like the Rezax Universal, or Varianza T1S, or BVillens T8S.

The concavity of the face makes up for it. Id rather have hella concave vs a wheel with weak or cheater lip.

Price?, it depends on what your looking to do. simple refinish. expect minimal of $200 each rim, if you want to paint the inside spoke and have it all polished like mine, 350-400 per wheel . i paid 1460 cash for all 4, centers powdercoated nighthawk black pearl (same color as my ka9) and instead of a machined look on the face i went with a high shine polish all around on the rest. as to match the chrome lines on our acuras'. good luck

Personally my favourites in this thread are the Amistads.
Not many people have them or are aware of them, and to top it off, they can pull off a high offset nicely, unlike dish type wheels.
Dish wheels with puny lips rub me the wrong way.
That's just my opinion on the subject though.

i would get these! but why 18s...i think your car is too big for 18s. Only way 18s would work if u have air or coilovers and willing to drive around with tires tucked.

man i really like the hr-2 despite all the nay-sayers. i actually have a bnib set that i'm not going to use if you are interested. i will say this though, it is a very sporty design. if you are dead set on having a "vip style" car then i would think it over before you made a move.

amistads if you're trying to stay with vip style or hr2's if you want to sport it up a bit.
