Cedric coilover retrofit + airsus + arms...

Before slammed was higher than this and the rears would not tuck.  No further fender modifications were completed.  I'll post up a how to for this install/fabrication.  JIC Y33 Cedric coilovers (Y33 Cima is different), adjustable rear upper arms and toe arms, UAS aerosport bags (+ Viair compressors, and polished tank, and electronic valves all re-mounted).  Lots of fabrication to do..it's not a bolt on or straight forward install.  I'll get into it later when I have time...

Only due to stock tophats.  After the camber plates replace them it'll be about 2" lower and that pic was shot from the ground.  It'll be perfect after the plates since the damned stock hats are huge.

Is that my problem? The stock tophats?
 
DAMN! The front looks like a Y33 Cima so much!

what kind are you going with?  JIC?  when i measured my top mounts to the JIC one's, i only got about an inch...

nice shot for a quick second i thought it was an rl! headlights threw me off cause they are on! nice shot.

rear looks prefect, I can't wait to see the front matching that. Car is going to have sick stance.

So what is different about the Y33 Cedric to the Cima? I thought it was just the caliper mounting holes being the wrong diameter on the front struts??

Haha, well, that's only part of the problem Dom (albeit consuming).  The entire braking system is different between the two cars.  This leads to a few other fun times.  I'll get into it all maybe tomorrow when I have the chance to sort the pics out and add illustrations. The car itself belongs to AcUrALiTy, and I think it's going to take some time for him to get used to the difference in ride since it's inheritantly stiffer, but as we know..the key to riding lower IS stiffness.

I'll be checking back here when you post up the differences. I found a set of JIC VIP FLT-TAS's for a Y33. Problem is, which Y33? lol. In case it's not for the Cima, I'd like to know how to get them to fit on my car anyways.

looks good.  ...but damn, seems like ur going thru alot to get ur car lower.  Good to see the fronts go down.  Good luck going thru ala moana blvd n kapiolani blvd at that height.  I gave up riding dirty w/ all these constructions going on.  stock height FTW.

haha!, you know the reason why my car was down for 3 months was because i was driving through ala's when the perch that my bag rest on broke off and my bag came sliding down, the whole time i thought my bag blew but it didnt.  kapiolani is fuckin crazy and i always take sidestreets now, i ride dirty everyday all the time and its good that i have 1/2 inch lines so i can pop it up fast

well if you get y33 cedric gloria your gonna have to drill the holes for the brakes out bigger, i used a metal cutting bit and it was very time consuming, also you have to bend the brake shield back a little

what about PB Y32  Coilovers on a y33? Don;t you just have to widen the bolt holes for the caliper mount.......

^true, but I had mine rebuilt with custom valving and adjustable. Unless you get them dirt cheap, it's not worth it though, you are right.

Yeah so that would be like having 1 passenger extra in the Y32 the whole time....

makes a difference in dampering characteristics
