Image wheels+GTI=project thats one step closer to completion

The wheels are on, coilvers are as low as they go...and I can say two things: Love the way the car is turning out, and that I need coilovers that can go lower hehe.

I'm going to wait on new suspension until the kit is on and I see the car's stance.

Id say some UAS on those coils!  Do it Pav! And repaint those centeres PLEASE!!!!

Hehe sooner or later the car will be lower. I am still thinking on what to do with the centers. I still want to incorporate the black...that way it ties together the front grille. But I am tempted to see what the centers' faces would look like polished and the inside of the spokes kept black. Either way I have to take the front ones apart so that the face is actually sandwitched between the two barrels...right now its sitting on the outside.

Can't wait to see the Q through Mark. If finances work out the way they should....hopefully I will have the kit in the next month or so. Then we should do a BBQ/gettogether and shoot some pictures.

it would look like super GSR wheels or something, paint the shiney ring of the center black, and away you go, and yes, think its time to cut coils, or put a bag over the c/o struts :D

Front: 18x8.5 +45..soon to be 18x8.75 or 18x9...depending on how thick the face is...right now they are put together incorrectly (face, outer barrel, inner barrel....face should go between two barels)
Rear: 18x9.5 +45

Tires: fronts are 215/40 soon will be 225/40 and rears are 225/40

Thanks guys...and girls ;). Got a few little things for the car...HID fog lights and OEM Euro spec driver's side mirror. That thing is awesome! It curves toward the outside, so you can see your blind spot. No more turning my head every time I need to merge. Right now I'm getting quotes for the kit because I want to have it on the car in the next few months.

Alright...I decided to give HDR a try in Photoshop....plus it was another excuse to snap more pics hehe

I have the lip kit sitting in my garage...have few more pieces I'm very tempted to buy before painting everything...next update on the car will be in a few months.

New wheels quick!! lol
 
the Veedub looks very euro and very nice pav., the Gti has the VR6 motor no?! or is that the R32?

hey Vince! Its been a looong time! Unfortunately this is not R32, but it has 2.0 turbo engine in it.

Finally got around to snap a few more pictures. Before anyone says it...the car does need to be a bit lower. I have new coilvers in mind already.

Pavel, the Votex looks AMAZING man!  Im still waiting on my kit.....  Have to go do a shoot once I can get  it back and done.

It was, They asked if they could have extra time because they had a bunch of crap come in, I told them id rather have it done right than done fast.  Plus I have been busy as hell moving into my new place in Kenmore.  Youll have to swing by and check it out some time.

Only thing is that this particular model has been discontinued. You might be able to e-mail them and find out if they can make you another set. This company only makes wheels once you order them. You pick everything down to the color of the faces and the barrels. But...18's go for $1K each and have super long wait time.
