The dog was dead already..it's just propaganda that America is grasping as usual.  The "yelp" sound was edited in btw..they did a piss poor job.  I mean it's a screwed up thing to do anyhow, but it wasn't a live puppy.  Like a puppy could survive out there anyhow?  Have any of you been out there?  It's freakin' hot as hell.  

They truly got people's attention...do I agree with how they did it, of course not.  I love dogs..even though I was brutally attacked before, requiring hundreds of stitches.

I don't condone animal cruelty by any means at all, and i'm also by no means a tree hugging bleeding heart liberal either, but this video does more to state the gullible mass of morons we have become when any random jackass can take a normal camera and simple editing software and fake a clip like this that will get a rise out of people like it has. What i find asinine is that it's okay to pop innocent children (by accident of course) or to shoot a man they don't understand because he's "suspicious" but to throw a dead puppy's body all of a sudden is Outrageous and repulsive.

That said, that's what happens in war. I blame Bush. War is an ugly place and it plays with soldiers' minds. There's a reason 6 out of 10 soldiers (i think that was the ratio) that have come back from Iraq have been involved in violent crimes.

I agree with you on every point except the blaming of Bush on this one. How Bush is to blame for a guy using no common sense or even beyond that, refusing to maintain some decorum while in uniform is beyond the scope of Bush's powers. Oh and if for one moment you think todays veterans are worst off than REAL war veterans like Korean War, Vietnam, WWI and WWII, then think again, our soldiers by their standards are spoiled, not to minimize their service to our country and minimize their sacrifice but with todays technology and personal protective equipment, you can hardly say it messes with their mind like it would have in those other wars.... :shrug:

Im from a 100% military family, Please do not minimalize the work that they do there by comparing it to previous wars. Im not saying that they are heros, because its a Job that they are paid to do..but it does earn a bit more respect from those who choose not to do it. on the clinton tip, to think those issues are exsclusive to his term is rediculous (as i'm sure you agree). at least he (the government behind him) had the u.s. crackin. 7 years later and look where we're at. i feel that democracy, as the american people know it, is an illusion. sometimes i try and think about it objectively to try and figure out whats really going... it always comes back to who paid how much for what to happen. everything else is just a show put on to hide the truth imo.

Anyhow, this has gone a bit off topic...so this is my attempt to bring it back. 

The points brought up about things happening to soldiers at war and about propaganda are all founded. I personally didn't have any real shell-shock or issues due to my time in Desert Storm and Desert Shield, but i do know guys that did.  I only had the occasional nightmare or bizarre dream..never anything in the conscious realm (although I did flinch a few times when I first got back hearing certain noises, but that's just instincts).  The point is, things do happen to people, and unless you've been there yourself, you have no right to speak about it.  You can "discuss it", but your opinions don't matter all that much as you have no real world experience to base your assumptions on.  I'm not trying to be an ass, but it's the truth...
