Debadging?

Hey how many guys are running  with 1 or no emblems on their car? i'm thinking about removing the Lexus & LS 430 emblems on my car and just leaving the L on the rear...i did it on my GS and it looked good but the LS is a luxury car so it might look like some things missing on the rear what do you guys think?

P.S. or should i rock the celsior emblem on the rear with the L in the middle? or should i go all the way JDM with the celsior emblem the T on the rear and the T on the front?

Help me figure this out please.

I took off  the L and Lexus on my current car
I think it looks nice that way

Took off the GS300, left the "L" & the Lexus on.

I have some time since i'm waiting for my JP roof spoiler, i'm gonna take the car to the body guy and have them remove whatever emblems i don't want i just can't decide what to do....my girl and my clsoet friend said run no emblems cause everyone will still know it a lexus but she's a girl and my friend is into more of the DUB scene then V.I.P so i figured i'd ask my fellow V.I.P scene people.

It's funny cause i have the Celsior bible and alot of the guys in japan from what i see are running Lexus emblems.

P.S freddy from autofashion is reppin hard in the UCF bible!!! a must have for all LS 430 guys....to bad i can't read it but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

If you are going to do a celsior emblem you need the toyota badge..A debadged rear on a LS is nice too.. I just did my GS last week and love it..

No badges except the Cedric "eagle" on the grille

Be prepared to answer alot of questions on "what is that?"

That's what i'm thinking i need that T and the celsior but some people seem to think that it's a dumb idea to change lexus emblems for toyota emblems ...but they don't know JDM!!

I would do it..There isn't too many JDM badged Celsiors around, hell there isnt too many modded around. There is tons of GS but no Celsiors..

Where most people are taking off badges, I went the opposite and have added badges! HAhahaha!
I added a Aimgain badge and have a AME badge on each side

As for me-Everybody does the cima badge thing and debadge thang so I wanted to be different. Also the car isn't a true cima nomatter how many badges I put on it so why fake the funk!

I shaved my emblems and got a custom one made that says "Gangsta"

You have a point i'm gonna do what i want to do i just wanted to see how guys in the scene feel about the topic...it would be a fake celsior so yeah that's fronting but hell the guys in japan are fronting also, not saying it's right or that i'm a follower but itwould be different and that's what i'm after not looking like the next black LS 430 at the show/club.

I feel what you're sayin! and most cars in Japan that have badges manily only run one or 2 but it's whatever you want to do! :biggthumpup:

id say leave the L on.but yup,do wat u like.

im going to take off my ls400 badge and put on the celsior badge. im just going to leave everything else on.

Leave the L.  The JDM thing never got popular in NY.  Girls will seriously think you drive a Toyota LOL.
 
I say, remove the Lexus and the LS430 but just keep the L.  If you ever get a kit then rock one of their badges where the LS430 used to be.

Yup doing it today i think it looks cleaner IMO.

I have a JDM celsior emblem if someone wants it PM me.

Less is more. Shave all that crap off. 

I ditched the silly windshield squirters on the hood, too.

I had de-badged previous to the repaint, but the "L" emblem would 
have had to go to make room for the Supra brake light.

Less is more is more of a Euro approach.  VIP cars usually have brand badges on the rear and or quarter panels.  Nice car BTW, always been one of my favorites.  All the little details and extra work really shows in the final product

thats exactly what i was thinking. imo "less is more" is the better of the 2, but some feel they must do "the vip thing" and some of the vip branding emblems ARE pretty cool. i think as long as you don't have MORE than what came on the car you should be good, whether oem/jdm/branding. stock locations is a plus.

I was so against this ... I wanted people to know it was a gs4- since I don't see to many on the road .. mostly 300 do this ... but If you talk to me I guess you'll know ..

But it does look so much cleaner ... Just need the chrome trunk bar later to balance my rear ...

True but the LS430 only comes with one engine size so it doesnt matter if he goes clean or not, people still know hes not frontin

Hey Pxrlex, how about taking off all badges and putting a V8 emblem? =)

i was thinking bout painting my emblems black to mach the car any of you guys ever took off the emblems on the first gen GS? will there be holes in the trunk lid or are they the stick on types?

I like the debadged look, but I haven't done it to my car because enough people don't know what it is already =)
