Shitting bricks

Had a close call.

If my neighbour hadn't come home from work just as they were working on it, I would have likely been minus a set of irreplaceable wheels, and two tires.

Now I get to pay $200 in insurance to get a new door skin and handle.

sucks. at least u got coverage. im guessing theres no alarm? lol u should get one. your cars more of a target than most others on this forum. its more approachable and the locking mechanisms are so simple. another minute or 2 of work and they would have been on their way.

did you consider painting your handles? i think itd look clean

Do you have a system in your G-ride?? usually the most reason why cars get stollen..Thats why I refuse to put one in my car. I all ready had two vehicles broken into and learned my lesson.

Well at least on the + they did not break any windows.

Nah, I don't have a system in, and I'm considering not putting one back in this one since this is the 5th break in, and I've lost two windows, 1 amp, and 3 subs already.

Thinking of getting some security cameras and an alarm system, 'cuz I can just imagine what it would be like if my car actually looked good!

The funny thing is the way they tried to brake in ur car is very amiture why would u need to go through the door handle like that? Who ever tried sucked and didnt know what the hell their doing. I dont even think they would of got away with wheels if they couldnt even open the door.

? why is that a bad idea? really common on simple cars like this. u have more access than just punching the lock out and not all thieves can use a slimjim properly. the locking mechanism is soo simple its ridiculous. they teach the different ways of accessing your own car in my high school auto tech LOL.

DAMN 5 times and you dont even have sounds?!? you gotta get a locking car cover and some cameras to reduce that number! your car must look appealing or the spots you park it are sketch. id be paranoid like i was comin off a 3 day crack binge if i were you!

http://www.surveillance-video.com/hisp60divire.html put one of those in your PC, buy a couple of hardwired cameras and a 12 gauge, i think youll sleep easier at night.

Weren't you saying something about your car not being stolen because it doesn't look like a car that should be stolen?

Ouch. At least they didn't get it.

it's where he lives that is the problem.... i have a lot of friends onthe maple leaf side of the border and they all agree that while violent crimes are significantly lower there, theft related crimes are higher due to a drug epidemic that rivals our SoCal Inland Empire problem hahahahaha

Well im not going to get into detail and type how easy it would be to get in the car without doing what they did. You dont need to have a slim Jim to get in that type. Ive been in and out of Juvi for grand theft when I was in Jr and High school and I never had to brake a handle like that and didnt use a slim jim. Im just saying whoever tried to brake in the car didnt really know what they were doing. Dont take what i said out of content.

I doubt they would have stolen the car in this case, but you never know.

The other 4 times were purely for looting though, they came and went without even trying to boost the car.
