Engine cover...opinions needed
Alright...now that the weather is getting nicer, I want to tackle the project of repainting my engine cover to match the rest of the car...here are few options I'm thinking of:
Stock cover:
Option 1:
Option 2:
Basically the gray is the same color as the car, black would be basic black and red is going to bright. I am trying to tie in the front end of the car into the engine bay. The front end has plack center and there is a thin red stripe that goes around the upper grille.

Option 2 looks better than 1.

Thats what I was thinking also. Now just need to buy black and red...also thinking of shaving off all the letters on the cover and putting GTI badge that I removed from the rear hatch in place of "FSI Turbo"

I think if your going to paint it i say do more then just a strip in the middle. Maybe do a gloss black on the sides and in the middle. It would set off everything in the process. If you dont go black maybe a darker shade of the stock color just to contrast it a little =)
