UCF20 with 100k miles....
Alright guys, Im on my quest to VIP-dom, so I appreciate your opinions. Here goes, 99 Lexus LS400 with about 100k miles, asking $10,500. Looks to be in great shape, however for all you guys with UCF20's I need your help. How does your car run after 100k miles?? I know that Lexus' are built very well so I feel more comfortable buying a Lex with this many miles rather than an Infinity (no offense Y33 guys out there). Any opinions and help is appreciated. My bad I just realized I should have posted in the Lexus/Toyota section....

Hi,
I have somewhat of the same topic.
I do apologize if I am violating a rule from the forum. Sorry in advance!
If I were to look for a lexus LS400, would I want to look at a lexus with air or not? Reason is that I heard that if the damper shock breaks of an LS with air, it would be very expensive to repair/replace. VS if I were to get an airbag kit (aftermarket), and then if parts break, then it would be cheaper because it would not have to be from toyota part?
Please correct me if I am wrong...
Thank you.

bought my car at 99k miles, it's at 118k right now, and i think i've only oil changed like 3 times LOL. other than that, the damn ac stinks like shit, even with a new cabin filter. also i would NOT look for a lexus with air suspension with a car of that much mileage

Yea mileage was my biggest concern, but I guess with proper maintenance I should be good...

100k miles isn't even considered broken in yet.
My local Lexus dealer has a '91 LS400 that they just got in on trade with around 550,000 miles on it with the original engine and tranny. They keep it on display just to prove how reliable a Lexus really is.
