Custom Signal Mirrors From S-CLASS Benz

just started on these today. hopefully they will come out clean.. the thing i'm worried about is that the signal light fills up a lot of room behind the motor and it might stop it from moving. well here's the pics... i'll update later when we use some plastic to make it smooth on the edges.

I did mine just like you.
Just make sure you trim as much as you can on the benz light (back side)
 
I also had to move some of the wires behind the mirror out of the way so the light would sit deeper in the mirror cover.

what product did you use to fill in the area between the light and the side mirror housing ? regular body filler ?

we used SEM's Problem Plastic Repair Material to fill in the gaps and added bits and peices of the left over plastic for the side of the mirror. covered it with some evercoat z-grip light filler and sanded moving up grit.

dooope. ima get some 03ish m45 turns and see if it would work on a cressssiddddaaa.

Looks good!! I wish I had the balls to even attempt something like that.

just got them sprayed and i'm really happy how they turned out. now i gotta wetsand the signals and buff em to take out some lil scratches. ENJOY! :smiley: 


ohh yea i had some left over paint so i i told them to spray my side skirt and door mouldings too! ima rock them til i get my kit.

you can usually tap into the signals in the kick panel/ door sill area.

yea i didn't have time to start on the right one yet. hopefully by next week i can have both of them done and with working signals
