Wood Floor Interior

Hi everyone Im kinda looking around at this idea of going wood floor in my xB. Just a crazy thought that might look cool if done right. Well ive looked into quite a few of the threads here ranging from Pics to interior. I cant really find too many good pics of interiors with wood floors. I know Ive seen some pics of Previas with wood floors, but for some reason I cant find them on my harddrive at all. What are your opinions on wood floors, and do you have any pics of good ones?

This is the best ones Ive found with good shots (tottally not VIP, just has it)

Re: Wood Floor Interior

As long as the type/color of the wood matches your exterior, interior, and trims...I think it'll look nice. All you need is to complete the interior with as many VIP/Exectutive goodies as you can get your hands on.

Thats true.
For a Van You can notice it because of so much room.
Now if you Arrange the Seating in the Box. Then maybe it'll look good.

GO FOR IT!!! i plan on doing wood in the lex when i get it. but thats because my brother in laws both do hardwood flooring....
if its an xB you can do prefinish'd or engineered. but if you want that feel. go with prefinished 3/4"
me personally im going with unfinished. so i can pull all the seats and interior out. and really wrap it around the bumps and humps etc. sand it down so its smooth curves then have my guy finish and coat it. it would be probably under 2000 if you hired a professional to do it like a woodworker etc. in a sedan. extra for trunk.

Wouldn't the easiest way to do it be to lay down some fiberboard with little feet here and there so it's strong and flat, then put the wood on that? I don't think something like that should cost anywhere near $2000 if you do it yourself, which is totally feasible.

exactly...i would first make a level surface and then go on from there..... make templates with cardboard. pre-assemble the floor outside of the car, cut it out to size. take it apart and start laying them inside the car. this is just me tho... people have there own methods.

i plan to do a black cherry or some kinda dark wood clor in the trunk with black carpet mounting 2 10" and 2 1000 watts :) as for now i have to put coins in the piggy bank.
