Any Toyota Avalon VIP cars out there ???

Hey people, I just recently got myself a 97 Toyota Avalon for a week now and I am thinking about turning it into VIP style. The only problem is that I don't see any parts are offered out there to turn it into VIP style. Any help of finding parts or pix of a VIP toyo avalon post it up. I would like to see some out there to get my inspiration going.

get some universal air suspension or coilovers, should be able to find them on google

get some nice 5x114.3 low offset wheels, make them cambered and curtains/tints and ur off

should look good when vip though as its a nice looking car

There were a couple done up on the old version of this forum. Search 'Avalon' and it may come up. Start out with suspension, then work with wheels. Air Runner makes a suspension setup for it, UAS may be able to help you out with it. I don't know if it's the 97 avalon though, you will need to check.

You can definitely forget about the 'vip starter kit'. It's a waste of money that could go towards more important things.

yeah, "vip starter kit" is a no-no for me. lol.
it should be fairly smooth. but the tradeoff on looks is well worth it.

THat's the thing. Every 'noob' (like hte one that said to get a vip starter kit) thinks that a fusa and gitsuna are needed. That's not the case. The 'starter kit' should be suspension and wheels.

Vip style focuses on the stance of the car. Focus on that first, before anything else. As long as your suspension is set up right, it'll ride good. You may want to look into UAS and see if they have or can set you up with a suspension kit for your car. Air will ride good depending on how you set up your ride height.

Next set your wheels up. You'll be good to go after that.

From what I know, there's two type of packages for 'VIP Starter Kit'

1. Starter Kit for Poser (package consist of Fusa and Kitsuna)
2. Starter Kit for Playaz (lowest offset, widest rim, classy design rims and suspension options)

Disclaimer: Price of the two package may varies... significantly

OK, the next NOOBIE question. I am not familiar with the air ride suspension, so how would you go about setting this up? As far as how big the air tank should I go with and brands ? Any plug and play set ups out there ?

Sorry bud, the avalon that air runner has a kit for is for the years 2000-2004

http://www.airrunner.co.jp/toyota00-04avalon.htm

So looks like your only option is either custom or contacting Universal Air Systems for a price quote, or if they can set you up with a complete kit.

If you have enough knowledge to change springs, then you have enough knowledge to set up an air ride system.

haha...i guess people took me seriously w/ the whole VIP starter kit. guess i should've put "j/k" at the end. but yeah, here in hawaii, you see alot of stock vip platform cars w/ kituna and fusas. guess its the cheapest mod to do. i myself haven't gotten the "vip starter kit" yet. still not worthy. :D

Yeah not feeling the bone stock with Fusa look either........a Fusa would probally be one of my very last Modds......if you can even call it a modd. LOL Probally rock it only for shows though........got pulled over once for hanging my daughter's first set of shoes on my mirror. I guess he felt he had to warn me about something because everything on my car was legit and legal. He was really reaching to say the least.

why don't we push the env a lil' bit... make it a RWD!!!

we play things in our minds y not make it into a reality...

...i just finished doing an AE101 corolla 4WD (from gt4 celica) as well as the engine-3S-GTE, its fast n it's light weight!!!

...i thought about this avalon for a while, get the rear diff out of a GS or an IS then put a 3SGTE(Stroker Kit) or Supra TT engine on it!!!

doing these things might be too waste of time and too a lil' expensive but this KEEPS MY BOAT ROCKIN! hehe

because it's too expensive, too expensive they don't sell that good... that's why people choose aftermarkets it's relatively cheap and a lil' well engineered. manufacturers doin't have enuf time building each and every model they come up with every year let alone building a car for people like us. ferrari's, lamb, lotus, etc. builds cars for gear heads like us but i's very expensive because of all engineering expenses they put into their cars.

...just my thought=)
