New rear end
For those who have not seen, I had an extreme make over on the rear of my car. This build has a strong Euro influence mixed in with VIP. More pics comming tomorrow.
-05-06 LED tails
-Exhaust cutout filled in on the rear bumper
-quarter panels and trunk heavily modified to fit Tails
-Top of bumper cut to fit tails
-Body line created on trunk to go with the line on the tails
-Inner trunk piece molded to trunk
-RADIUSED rear fenders about 3/4'
-Tubbed inner fenders
-Flared edge of the fenders
I must add, my suspension was designed to stop at that point because I am running aggressive fitment and the fenders would get messed up if it went lower. I am having the suspension shop correct this since a chunk of my fender is now missing and I can get lower. I am also having my exhaust lifted at the same time I get my suspension tuned. Stay tunned some time mid January-March for my front end build up.

I had it on for like 2 weeks just to cover some scratches before the rear got repainted.

Looks sick! Love the LED tails. I was behind a newer g35 last night and the LED tails look great at night.
Honestly I liked the smooth quarters before instead of the flared edge.

Thanks for your honest opinion
I am doing the front fenders the same to complete the look. The way I had it didnt look stock and that was my main reason for change. I also felt I would have to flare the doors to complete the look and the door handles would of got too close to the flares which I didnt want. Most importantly, I can get lower. I can actually drive at the height the rear is at in the pic.
I want people to think that I fit those huge wheels on stock fenders. Thats a more difficult look to achieve. I will take some more pics tomorrow on more angles.

I like the new taillight setup, very clean. I like it because on the last Q45 made, I wasn't really digging the trunklid tails so with yours just having the outer tails, seems more appealing to me. Good job.

I'm not really feeling the look of the 05+ tails without the trunk pieces (it looks a bit too angular on a rounded car like the F50), but props on making it work. Is it me, or do your front fenders not line up too nicely with the doors? Also, do you actually drive this beast in the winter?

My wheels are too aggressive and I blew a fuse on my air suspension in the middle of no where so I had to drive the front when it was practicially slammed. The fenders poked out from when I had to make turns. My fenders are getting redone in a month or two along with my front end. Oh and Yes I drive it in the winter and in the snow

man you are definitely doing the d**n thing. i kinda agree on the smooth quarters looking better, but i understand what you are saying. can't wait to see the front end completed. i'm really hoping you can get that presidential action. ever consider uping the rim size? that car makes the 20s (iirc) look small. 21s would be nice, but either way one of the best imo.

I wanted to do peanut butter 05 seats since they used the same leather thats in the Jaguar vanden plas for the 05-06 but I think the exterior goes best with light leather. Maybe you can pm me a quick photoshop to change my mind.

I Like it, i wasnt a fan of that rear end, but you made it look alot better.
Are you planing to add a chrome border to the rear bumper like in the y33 Qs? Cause it looks like it needs one imo. But thats just me.

i have said it before, but you have one of the most complete vipcars in the states. the work put into this car really sets it apart from all the other sick vipcars in the states with only 'air-sus, wheels, kit' group, and those cars are sick too!

19s explain a lot, cause that car is huge. big body for real. you're gonna radius the front too right? i think once you gain some clearance 20s or even a 20/21 deep lip dish combo would be sick. i've noticed cars in the mags runnin +1 combos, which i didn't expect. i'm usually pretty happy with my little maxima, but this build is really making me feel the non-platform pressure. hopefully in about a year i can jump in a y34 and get down to serious buisness.

Yes you read my mind. I am not a fan of the moldings on the F50, they are too big imo. I might go with a thin strip like the Y33 has.

Thanks I appreciate that. I want the kit to be the icing on the cake. That will be my last step. Im going to mismatch a few different kits together and add something to it like a body line along the bottom or something like that to set it off.

I have to see if the bumper im going to order sits at the same exact spot as the stock one. If it does then I might radius 1/4th' to get it on the ground. They actually radiused the rear closer to an inch when I messured it. As for the rims, Thats something I will think about in 09. I might go heigher in size. A Y34 would be a real good look. Only a handful in the states that are VIP or planning to go that route. Good luck.

235/35/19 on a 11.5' wide front rim
265/30/19 on a 12' rear rim The rears have much more stretch though.

Damn. agree with yakuzasoarer 100%. I'm sold on the new rear.
I like the maple woodgrain as well.
I actually test drove a silver F50 last night and thought about trading my 00 RL for it plus cash. Sadly it is in pretty rough condition exterior/interior and has a hit. They ride quite nice and the smooth power is addictive.

I answered it somewhere in the post. My air suspension fuse burnt out a few times and I was like practicially slammed up front so when I had to turn the wheel, the fenders got pushed out:shrug: . I took care of the fuse issue, I upgraded to a flat 200amp fuse so I shouldnt have any more issues. Im also not concerned about the fenders since my whole front end is getting redone and the front fenders will match the rears
