Stealth Sub enclosure

Hey everyone, im searching right now, on google and different car audio websites to try to find how to build a stealth subwoofer enclosure but have had no luck. does anyone know of any sites or infomation that i could use, aside from the 'subwoofer box calculator' and other 'how - to - build subwoofer boxes' sites. thank you in advance.

also i know there is a member who had a thread with the two 10" JL's i guess im looking for something similar to that.

the route i wanna go is to wrap the enclosure in carpet, and have it look flush running either two 12's or 15's spl, or pioneer or kicker. again thanks in advance

ricky, you'll most likely want to build the enclosure out of fiberglass or a combo of MDF and fiberglass. I don't know of a step by step walk though but there is ALOT of FG info available over on fiberglassforums.com, also if you go with a sealed box (highly recomended for false floor installs) then try your best to get a Qtc of .707 but since its sealed the size will not be as critical as ported.

here is a false floor setup I did in a buddies 05 altima...

i just bought my g50 last week, and i saw the trunk space, not really what i was hoping for (kinda small) but i will work with it. if i was getting something like that altima or a honda accord, which actually has a deep trunk then a stealth encolsure would be fantastic.

so right about now im more looking into getting a 13.5 inch JL sub woofer in the trunk with a XXX amp, and upgrade speakers in the cabin, but maybe not, cuz the bose is so nice.

so in general my dreams are shut down for the stealth enclosure but another question though, is there a HU that i can add W/O removing the stock stereo cuz for me its a luxury car, and to remove the HU to put an aftermarket makes it look cheesy, rather i want it velcro'd under the glove box or my side by my foot for ez access with ipod connectivity and preamp outputs for the subs. does anyone have a clue which HU to buy and how to go about doing this

buy an alpine w205... Its nice fixed double din touchscreen. doesnt quiet look factory but almost looks like a stock nav unit would. Plus it's got all the features you need and many more. Also a ton of people hear like the pioneer AVIC-D3, (I think thats the model). They all seem to love it. Just buy a nice deck and it won't look cheesy.

Oh, and BTW... you may still be able to do a false floor enclosure, most of the airs space you'll utilize is in the spare tire well so as long as your OK with loosing your spare tire... it should be enough room for a pair of 10's or so.
