RUBBING

I GOT 275/35/19 ON MY REAR SSR vienna. NO DROP OR ANYTHING. IT RUBS PRETTY NASTY RIGHT NOW. IF I CHANGE IT TO A 245 TIRE, WILL IT STILL RUB WIT THE STRETCH OF THE TIRE, OR DO I STILL NEED TO ROLL THE FENDERS TO MAKE IT CLEAR. ILL POST PICS AS SOON AS I GET MY CAMERA BACK.

What car? What size wheels/specs?

First of all, please dont post in all caps.  That is annoying to read and is considered yelling.    You need to first tell what kind of car you have.   A good rule of thumb to hit VIP style is to roll your fenders anyway.  To get the stance of VIP style, you have to have them rolled to get the wheel close enough to the fender usually.     Do take pics and then people will be able to help.

ITS ON A 90 SL400. THE REAR WHEELS ARE 19X10 WITH A +29 OFFSET.  I KNOW ITS SMALL COMPARED TO THE CRAZY 0 OFFSETS.

I don't think it should be rubbing...how bad is it? Get your fenders rolled.

i was going to roll the fenders eventually but i was told to just by some 245/35/19 and the tires should clear the fenders during normal suspension travel.

Do both. Nothing to lose by rolling.
Your current tires do seem pretty beefy though.

the bad part is i kinda strapped for cash with christmas and all so...... i can borrow my friends roller machine to do the fenders but will it even make a difference? kinda frustrating cause i wanted to buy the tokico shocks and the drop spring first b4 the tires.

lol. then you shouldnt have gotten the 275's if somebody already told you to go 245. yeah, roll and stretch. you should be ok on stock suspension im sure.

i bought the rims with the 275s on them.  they were telling me to remedy the problem of rubbing i should buy the 245s

you should be able to see on the tire where it is contacting the fender.

Try to roll it 1st. If it still rubs, then stretch em tires... Still rubs? Play with cambers alittle.

Last resort, pull the fenders!

DROP the car first.  get some camber on that thing.

Don't roll Lexus fenders. Shave them. Buy a cheap dremel and cutting wheels and go to town on it.

If you roll, note the eyelids in the fender lining...  you must cut those out or whatever before you proceed or else you will fuck something up and you'll end up with a sad sad fender.

buy some small tires and check for clearance
