Cedric buildup

Ok, instead of starting 800 different threads when i do random shit
here is the thread to watch

when i have pictures, ill post em, if i dont, i dont
if you have any questions about anythign i did...ask please

28oct
Installed rear toe arms, did a some kinda of alignment.
went to wash car, realized someone hit my rear bumper....sucky
my paint is soooooo horrible, it sickens me to wash it..thats why i never do

my wheels are kinda weird...the fronts kinda got weird wit the brake dust. like it wont wash off
so i got some polishing compound, and its working, but i have problems with my hands, they hurt if i rub too much on stuff, or use a wrench too much. i dont know why.

i waxed the lips before i installed them, but it still did this on the front, rears are fine, stuff washes off right away,
its soooo annying

Also, i put on teh Zenki headlights, still didnt fit
im gonna buy a hood next week.

I ordered my airbags last night from Presidente so they should be here soon
i dunno, im bored with the car already..
more to come

It's the material your brakes pads are made of. You need to choose one that puts out less brake dust, it'll save your wheels...I think the hood is the way to go..that way it's a perfect fit.

Hi Yokotas13,

Wondering if u can show me a pix of ur undercarriage taken from the front or side angle. Just wanna know if there's any particular protuding part (sticks out lower), than your average chassis.

I'm not running 1/2 as low as u but my front lower arm mount is scratching like nobody's business!

Thanks

really?
thats odd

yeah, when i get a chance (maybe this weekend) ill get it up on a lift, and get you some pics
i need to take some measurements to make some Frame rail extensions so when i drop on air, it will rest perfectly evenw ith the skirts.

Ok, update..kinda

i figured out a way to make my turn signals into LEDs that say Y33
so thanks to dominik (whom i hound at any given time, smart fellow)
i can run 4 LEDs in series without a resister, I was doing 3 wiht a resister, which is harder due to more soldering etc etc

so here is the start
Forum image

ill be adding a 33 after it, the one on teh bottom next to the Y is the start of the 3

anyways, figured id share

Sorry, for not being clear. I'm riding on Sentra N16 (equalavent to B15 in the States) and it's a FWD. And the part where it rubs is the front lower arm mount (which is the lowest part of the car). Wondering if all Nissan's having the same lower arm mount/connector?

Thanks in advance...

Nice idea on the Y33 turn signals... Should do "CED" on the other side... or just ">>>"
But will they be bright enough?

Damn i wish you ordered the bags 2 weeks earlier... or my holiday was 2 weeks later lol... i wanna see how it rides!!

once you do get your wheels clean wax them. then your brake dust will come off easier. i'm not sure polishing compound is the way to go because you be rubbing the debri into the finish.

i'm working on making some led tail lights as well. if you are using standard 3/5mm leds those are going to fry when they see 12v. my reverse lights have a 3.6v drop and i still have to use a resistor with series of 3.

Of course you need resistors! But you can save some soldering time by grouping them in threes, like you did, takes less resistors.

once you get up to strings of 5 there are some people running them without resitors. you really need to know the specs of your leds, theres no one size fits all fix.

no, you really dont

as long as the total voltage of the LEDs equals around 12volts.
im actually shooting for 11 or 10 to make them slightly brighter

so we will see what goes on here

also consider that unless you use a voltage regulator they're going to see more like 13.6-14.4v. if you run them under that with no resistors they will burn up. gl.

well, the thing is this

my LEDs are 3.7v each for the 5mm ones
so with 4 in line its 14.8
so its well within the tolerance levels....
so yeah...that said, itll be fine

i thought htey were 3.5....but its 3.7

yeah thats why i was asking. even then 3.7v is high. but he has some room to play since it takes a GOOD electrical system to put out 14.4v. so with your switch to series of 4 you will be good. for some reason i read that you were trying for 3.

the advantage of getting a good brand is that they will have tighter tolerances. ie they will be close to specs. i think overpowering a good led will be just as bad as overpowering a cheap on. i use top of the line superflux leds.

i'm actually designing a set of led tails for my a32 (maxima). you're one of the malaysian cefiro guys right kaizer?

I've learned first hand that on my G50 at least, the bulb sensors that go to the front info display are looking for the current draw from a regular light bulb so the only way to get this to work is to calculate the current draw of the leds to = the old bulb or get a load limit resistor system to fool the sensor. Hope that made sense I was kinda rambling.

I had a full LED taillight circuit for the G50 working for 3 months before it fried and I had to go do Air Force stuff.

Yeah, some cars does that. It's meant to diagnose for blown bulbs. It will flash quicker than normal to alert the driver that he/she has a blow repeater bulb.

i haev a datasystem equalizer already
on teh front it replicates any current into the stock current. so it it sense too low of a draw, it automatically equalizes it

found this cool stuff called MIRACLE CARBON at autobacs
its kinda pricey, but its sheets of real carbon fiber in different colors, (silver, red, black Maziora (color shift)) And you trace the outline onto a clear sheet of plastic that sticks to the surface, then transfer it to the CF panel. Cut and apply, i find that a little heat helps form curves.

nah
with a lowered geometry and the increased rolling weight, it contributes to increased bump steer.
and i too much serious driving to have that much bump steer

I went touge with the cedric last weeked, thats when i figured out i needed to order my brake ducts, rebuild my GTR calipers, and get some Trust brake fluid.

Yeah, fuel tank behind the seats sucks, of course its a godsend when you need to change the fuel pump, but most of the time it just sucks

I'm still not convinced about the pink flake - my imagination can't handle it!

But whatever, for now, let's just see these rear wheels go on! My stalker-sense tells me you've got the part you were waiting for!
