Hey, is that the Q45 that used to have those super nasty flares but mega-deep wheels?
If it is, I'm already disappointed because they didn't keep the old wheels.

I think I'll go pick it up and see what it's all about.

I dont like that mag. I picked up one because i was curious to see what type of material they have and if its better then TPR ect.

Worst mag ive ever read. The majority of the pages were nothing but bullshit write ups.

Such as, how to install header, intake, A SHIFT KNOB, and abunch of other bullshit stuff.

And there was an page talking about making a stock GSR reach the 190hp mark or something like that? But spent 8gs just to hit that mark. (Not exactly but something that out outrageous)

I just hope it dosnt blow VIP up and i start seeing q45s and ls400s running around with primer on some 16" rotas.

if the article is bad im gonna harass the the hell outta them!! LoL!!

The first issue I picked up from them was geared towards the beginner. They covered basic JDM swaps n stuff. Those who want to swap an LS1 into a Sc400 (or sumthing that crazy/advanced) shouldnt be reading magazines to tell them how to do it step by step.....

jus my opinion tho

You missed that Hawaiian one that got done for I think it was... what $5000? And there was no doubt of its Vip status.

Give me $8000 bucks, and I bet I could make a great start on a Vip platform with those crazy low US prices you guys have! lol

I think I've sunk at least that much into my Protege, and it still looks almost stock.

$8000 for just the car or just for mods? Either way $8k doesnt go far in the VIP game. Look, rims/tires cost $4k-5k, kits are 2k-11k, paint is 2k-5k, air suspension is 2k-8k. Im already in the double digits on my car, and its not even close to being done yet! :pat:

But... you know that was a total exception to the norm of VIP building. When I wrote that I knew someone was going to bring that car up because it really did hit the VIP mark. But you don't see that soft of thing everyday.

That cover is all wrong. HAHA

I'm having a problem with that front bumper on the Q already and Ricky Chu in a suit frontin' in a garage doesn't look like it all fits (with the focus in the background).

"Low baller to high roller". HAHAHAHAHAHA

One thing to look at on that front cover that doesnt seem right is the title on top reads:

"HOOK UP YOUR NEW RIDE ON THE CHEAP"

Then they are doing a VIP car?
"FROM LOWBALLER TO HIGH ROLLER"

Hmmm you know the people the mag is catering to will apply the top header to do up a VIP car.

it was a fun article....they showed a step by step in installing a wack justbagit bolt on air suspension kit, installing a bomex body kit, Konig Pivot 19s and a PJ Bonafacio 1,500 paint job. Actually it wasnt bad. Id pick it up just for the airsuspension tech.

I been wondering about this myself. I also wonder why they picked a G50 over all the more popular platforms in VIP Cars.

I definately want to check out the read. though.

yeah, I picked it up and was VERY disappointed.

sure they put air suspension on it but they went with an AIM kit which is HORRIBLE... then crappy wheels, crappy paint. On top of it all they did the install quick and dirty style, not clean at all. I would be embarrassed to drive that car.

i can't believe in any magazine that i read, where nice offset should be considered, not once have i seen mentioned a place to buy ballin used wheels. i was intrigued cuz it was the first US mag with a "VIP" car, but then they lost me with the konig privats, and from the looks of it, horrible offset also. they threw me with the bomex body kit as well. but i got the mag for free, so it'll give me something to look at.
my opinion is they dissappoint me the most with their weak selection of wheels. vienna's go for that price in way better offsets. idk maybe its just me
