thinking about getting eyelids

looking for some advice

i have a 2001 lexus gs 300. i am thinking about getting eyelids for my car, but not the ones that go just around the rim of the headlight but actually like 40% of the headlight. is this against vip rules? Does anyone know where i can get some fer a reasonable price?

eyelids that cover 40% look retarded on 2nd Gen. JP has some that are very subtle. I wouldn't do it on my car but do what you like.

I've never seen eyelids that I've liked on any car. They look like a sad attempt at making a car look mean.

Are these the 40%'s your talking about?
IMO the 2nd gen GS's dont need eyelids just makes the car looks stupid.

I'm not an eyelid guy, either.

I suppose with the proper stance, wheels, paint, kit, etc.
this can be the "icing on the cake," but most of the time
I see it done the car is nearly stock... just reeks of "okay,
I have $80 to blow on my GS, what should I get from eBay?"
(Could be a ClubLexus thread?)

I agree with most of the things people are saying, but i am still on the fence about the eyelids. they usually look bad.... sometimes they complete the car. i will probably get them and see how it loooks. probably wont like

Eyelids make a more aggresive look. So if you want an aggresive look than go for it. I think eyelids only look right on rectangular shaped headlight though.

my thoughts exactly..

eyelids + swerving = 2nd gen DUI

maybe a horn that burps from the grill? :giggity:

In far too many cases, eyelids just make the car look like it is on drugs, retarded, or about to fall asleep.

The JP ones are nice though, they're very subtle but do improve the shape a bit, if you're into that.

Yep, all of the JP eyelines made to reshape the headlights without giving the car that aggressive look!! I do like them and run them on both of our project cars. By the way if you guys wondering about price they are $210 shipped.
