Wow, so what would the weight be with tyres and air? And what do regular 18"s weigh?

Not really a fan of the pastel blue look but i guess that must be the in-thing with Porsche modifiers. Wish i was in that league!

Its the actual color scheme for the Porsche GT3RS. Carrera White and Riviera Blue

During testing of the wheels they (dymag) were able to shave almost a full second off lap times just bolting the wheels on. The average 18" wheel will probably weight in excess of 25lbs each, a lightweight wheel somewhere around 19lbs (the owner of the car also owns Rennworx and makes his own 1-piece forged race wheels and they tipped the scales at 19lbs each.

So the owner is racing the car, the wheels shave alot of weight over stocks and follow the correct color scheme for a 996 GT3RS. Price is somewhere around $8-9.5K depending on sizing. Imagine being a pro race team and able to shave a full second off consistant lap times and having a wheel with a higher tensile strength over other wheels readily available.

Dymag are also the stock wheels on the konigsegg CCX

I may not like the color but its still the hotness and if I were a track car driver I would love to see a second off the laptime because of some wheels!

Unsprung weight makes a HUGE difference. Those wheels are a racer's wet dream.  :smitten:

Needs more dish, and could have gone with a lower offset... :P

Layed these up last year and polished the centers when I was on UTA's formula SAE program.

13x7 and 3.78 lbs on the postal scale and IMO they are overbuilt to sh*t.

I've seen the dymag motorcycle wheels (they also have full carbon models) but never ones on a Porsche.

As far as I know those are some of the lightest 13x7's ever made, I know of one lighter wheel which was made by another university team from Brazil I think. It only weighed a few ounces less and look like total crap but..... in the world of speed looks don't matter.

Hmmmm, as far as priciest... I remember a friend telling me about some local guy that had some og campognolo wheels from the 60s... replacement cost for one that was fucked up was like... 10K or so I think it was? And it had to be found hidden somewhere in Europe.. I forgot the specifics.
That one wheel qualifies that guy as VIP in the US car show circuit!

lol the rear fulcrum looks so high up. then again ive never cared for kleins.

Well the Mantra was one of the pioneers in the Full suspension design. It wasn't until a few years that mfg's started implementing ways to get rid of that "bob."

I originally got out of mtn bikes when the first dual suspension bikes were coming out...(and also cuz I was getting my driver's license :) ) but I remember those OG ones rode like doo doo, especially ones like the old girvins with the two rubber bumpers you use in the back... thing pogo'd like crazy and didn't really work worth an ass imo. The last Kleins I liked/lusted over were the Attitude and Adroit... ain't nothing more bad ass than having that og 3" alum down tube. Hmmm, in fact, I wouldn't mind finding one of those frames now, but I wonder if they're considered "classics" and going for an arm and a leg... although, on the subj of classic frames, it's all about the old Merlins... the Ti originators!
Hmmm, to bring this post back on topic...Dymag is quite the bad ass! Old callaway sledgehammer had a set of old dymags on it, too

yeah the old Kleins are bad ass, the ones with the one piece stem and bar, two tone paints. i'm a fan of hardtail bikes and kleins were my dream rides but i settled for building a custom cannondale.
