air compressor NOISE

any one know how to reduce the noise coming from the air compressor?? right now i have a viair 480. i bolted it down into my spare tire area and it is super loud. it vibrates the whole trunk causing more noise.:signdammit: anyone have any ideas?? i already have rubber mounts the the compressor but it seems not to work well lol. what about dynamat??

use a ruber spacer/grommet between the compressor mounting and your car.

id relocate the compressor to the outside of the car, fresher air, outside air to cool it down better.... the 480, to me, isnt too big so finding a place to mount it shouldnt be to hard. and use some fat rubber gromment between your mounting surface and compressor... and it being in the trunk only makes it resonate, even worse in the spare tire area.... just my opinion

Rubber mount and fatmat ... I have both and its exposed .. Very quiet compared to without those items

yea maybe you sould make a picture for me...

i was thinking about mounting it out side but i have no clue where to mount it... i think i might just use dynamat and mount it to that...
