dont heat it. well you dont have to. the film is made low tack so it can be remove easily. just let it sit in the sun. should pel ofwith no adhesive except for the edges. you can use clay to get that off but i just use a terry cloth and some glass cleaner. make sure to wax it after you pull it off. when the stuff was applied they probably strippped all the wax to get it to adhere faster.

heat can assist getting the glue off, but heat also softens it up and lets it stretch more. making it a little more difficult to peel off.

i heard about this situation... Agreed with vip tint + glass you might peal off the paint... I say once the clear bra is on its gonna be very difficult to peel off you might peel off the paint... And if you have it on a period of time the clear bra turns yellow for some reason... :shrug:makes me think twice about getting one ..

i think he meant it comes off easy, no need for a heatgun cause it comes off fairly clean.

vip tint just said it is low tack so it comes off easy. I didn't read anything about it taking paint?

Belt sander would do the trick.

Seriously... I think vip tint&glass has the right idea, but I've never done it personally.

clear bra is meant for brand new dealer paint only. we arent supposed to put this stuff on repainted cars. we make the customer sign a disclaimer if the car was repainted. we dont know the quality of the paint and yes the clearbra can take the paint off if the paint job wasnt prepped right.
