Tire help on 20x8.5 and 20x9.5

I need to order some new tires for the wheels I just picked up.  I don't want a crazy stretch but am open to a very conservative one.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  I'm thinking 225/35/20 and 255/30/20.  Any advice?  Thanks

225 front/ 245 rear

i just did mine, 225/35 front and 235/35 rear trust me thats as conservative as it gets. 245 aint much of a stretch at all barely see the lip.

It depends on the tire as some tires have more stretching characteristics than others.  A SPT combination in the 225/35 and 245/35 would be good enough.

Thanks for the link.  I will look into it.  What's the advantages/disadvantage of going 255/30 vs 245/35?  Which set up would give more of a lip/rim protection?

I'm assuming 225/35 and 245/35?  I guess I want to rephrase.  I am not trying to get the best stretch.  I would like a good clean fit that protects my rims from the elements.   I'm torn between 225/35 front and 245/35 or 255/35 rear.  My question is when I bought tires for my E46 m3, the 8.5 fronts I was running 245/35.  Should I not do this for my 2nd gen gs?

yeah if you see numbers like that go ahead and automatically assume 35 series, its the most widely used series. those are good numbers too thats what i would reccommend. do you even NEED the stretch? or are you doing it just for the look?

235/35/19 on a 19x9.5 yokohama s-drive a true look tire.just enough for lip to have some camera time

Gotcha.  Thanks.  I don't really need a lip.  Here are my plans right now.

1) Shave rear fender and roll fronts
2) Purchase HKS RS (or Tein CST)
3) Install my 20x8.5+34 and my 20x9.5+35 (tire size?)
4) Lower car to no wheel gap (possible even a slight tuck)

That's all my plans.  So in light of the shaved rear and taking into account the tucking I'd like, Im trying to determine the best tires for a smooth ride that give good protection without rubbing.  Any thoughts? :)

Sweet pics!  thank you for giving me a visual.  If I do purchase the tires, it will most likely be also a true look as I'm gonna get the Toyo Proxes 4
