Best tint for silver car?
What tint color would look best for a silver car? And is green the best tint to install on a black car or, are there better stuff?

I see black tint literally everywhere I look on the road, I'm sick of them.
I just want a unique look to my car. I'm thinking about getting green, blue, mirror, or mirror gray. May I see blue tint on silver? (I already saw green and it's amazing.)

I'll go mirror gray! But, I don't know where to get the film, any ideas?
I'm going to do the tinting myself because, a friend of mine got a 4 inch blade scratch ride where the door and window connects at the passenger side F-door on his 2000 Lincoln LS when he got it tinted "black" at a Grade-A shop. I'm not going to risk a scratch like that.

Is green and charcoal in 30% the same? I called snaptint.com and they told me that the closest thing they have is charcoal in less than 30%.
I'm pretty sure I could tint my car in a clean and slightly wet garage... I have no tint experience but I was watching a tint guy at toyota tint an 08 Camry and the rear part is the only part that is quite hard IMO. I don't like the price of good tint shops and deny claims of them giving your car a scratch.

Don't take this the wrong way but...(Stop being cheap) i understand your friend had an issue with his tint and if this is so the tint shop should've made good but i think it could've been an isolated incident...Just go to another shop to get it tinted and save your self the trouble of it having pronlems ie: bubbles, dirt, hair and so on.

If I'm not mistaken Mercedes uses blue tint on its avantgarde models. I think it looks pretty clean on a silver car, though it gives a more sportier look. I'd say green or bronze is classier, where blue is more sporty.

Function or fashion? Personally I like the blue or green for fashion, but function, I like BLACK!! Gangsta!...and how can someone get sick of seeing black on the road anywayz? I mean making a car unique, takes more then what color tint you choose, IMO.

Bumping this... The tint shops I called around in Vegas doesn't carry anything other than black/smoke tint, so I'm doing it myself.
I just want to see a mirror tinted car, I don't care what color. So I could finally decide on what color I should get.

on silver.. i would go with 20% on the four doors, and do the rear window like 15-17% regular black color tint. It's the light, its not that dark, but at night, its a lot darker..
but on a black car i would go with green or black..

i went with a slight hint of green but it looks just plain legal tint unless you catch it at the right angle and lighting. really hard to catch but when you do it looks fantastic but couldn't go as dark as I wanted to due to state laws on tint
