intro

here's my intro:

in the middle of getting out of the 240 game. grew out of that game fast. i've moved onto my new car, Black/Black 2003 Lexus GS300.
nothing major planned for the car for right, as it is my daily. but, i am a few days away from getting my Leon Hardiritt ordens in 18x9 +26 and 18x10 +19 and a set of tanabe df210 springs.

your gonna have to do better than 2" drop springs.

yah, 19s are what i wanted, but i found a deal on Ordens in 18s that i just couldn't refuse. i'm probably going to get coilovers down the line. tein cs, but for now i think df210s will do. i'm trying to go all out VIP on this car, just vip-inspired i guess?

Welcome to VCS! I heard that the comfort series doesn't give you much of a drop either....

Hey man, sounds nice.  The df's will def. be better than stock but, won't be low enough.  Hope you're happy with it once you get everything done, and post some pics

Here are the specs on the wheel and tires.
Leon Hardiritt Ordens
Front: 18x9 +36 215/40/18 Pirelli PZero
Rear: 18x10 +19 225/40/18 Federal 595s

I want to drop the car on Df210 springs for now, and eventually Tein CS, but i don't want the car to be slammed so i want to go with a taller tire, while keeping the stretch(especially for the rear). So for the front i was thinking of going with a 215/45 and on the rear a 225/45 or a 235/40. What do you guys think would give me more height but maintain stretch? Also, any suggestions for tire brands would be good, right now i'm leaning towards Pirelli Pzeros all around.

welcome... ooh ordens :biggthumpup: even though they are 18's but again they are ordens :biggthumpup:. All you need is a nice drop. I agree that the df210's should do the trick. I'm rockin them and it sits nice n low while still maintaining a fairly smooth ride on a gs4. here's a pic for a visual but keep in mind our drops will differ a little because the drops differ between the gs4 and gs3 on the df210's and i'm on 19's. hope this helps with your decision.

In order to rock 18s you'll need to ride SLAMMED!!! all the time, or else they look way too small for the car! But ordans look DOPE no matter what! Congrats! :biggthumpup:

the 210's for gs3 (TDF024) give you 1.8 up front and 1.3 in the rear. the gs4's (TDF024B) gives you 2.0 front and 1.5 rear. according to their site that is.

i have a few questions for you vets out there.
1. How much of a stretch will i get from a 225/45 on a 9j?
2. Could i run 235/45 on 18x10 +19 with sufficent fender clearence when dropped 2in.?
3. I'm going with either nankang ns2 or federal 595, which would be the better choice, while regarding comfort, noise levels, and reliability.
4. Would running 225/45 all around look ok?
