GS300 offsets..
I searched on this and found very little info so please do not be a asshole if you have answered this before, just direct me to the thread and i ll be more than happy to go see.
Anyways on the to questions. I want to know for 19 inch wheels, what is the biggest lip or lowest offset you can go with out back on a 99 GS3 with...
a) no modifications to the fenders
b) rolling the fenders
c) rolling and pulling the fenders
when you answer please state which one of these you are referring to thanks.
Also are 18s too small for a 2nd gen gs? I may go with 18s if they look good and stay away from the 19s cause the tires for 19s I hear are ridiculously expensive. If you have pics of a GS3 on some 18s please post, thanks

Cant help you on the offsets since I have an LS not a GS. But about the 18's, Ive seen a few rocking 18's but it doesn't look nice unless youre on air and can slam it. 19's look a LOT better on the 2nd gen GS's.
And as for the tire prices on 19's, not all of them are rediculously overpriced. I run General Exclaim UHP's which you can get at a decent price (i believe I paid a little over a hundred per tire). I've never had a problem with them, and they stretch nicely. A lot of people also run Federals, which arent very expensive either. Even if you slam the car and have a lot of camber, as long as you get the toe adjusted straight then you should be fine. I run maxed out camber in the rear of my LS, but have the toe set as close to 0 as I could and the tire wear is great. Dont get me started on the front though, I havent aligned the front so the toe is eating up the tires  Camber does wear tires unevenly, but not nearly as much as toe does

i'm not trying to be an asshole, but i just did a heck of a lot of browsing through this forum on numerous threads and also PMed a few members for specs and photos of their cars to try and decide the best offsets.
ive found that a general idea of around 19x9 and 19x10 with around +20 should be good if lowered on coilovers and with rolled fenders front and rear, using stretched tyres such as 225/35s / 235/35s. there is no aftermarket camber adjustment available, so natural camber and maxed stock components is as much camber as you can acheive.
the offsets are very hard to determine due to a vast range of suspension setups, ride heights, and tyre sizes run by people. i see cars looking 'flush' anywhere from +13 through to +25!
i think that 9/10 +25 is good for stock guards from what i can tell.
hopefully others can provide further insight, as it would be cool to have this info all in one thread rather than spread all over!

Glad to see you tried searching ..
I have a gs400 and for the longest time I was wondering about 18's. . . . . . . .
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=296588
had this thread if helped but no pictures .. links failed
If helps I wanted 19's because the 18's will look kinda small and I am bagged ..
almost seems like the 19 front and 20 rear will be a great combo too , theres a member on this with that combo and looks great ..
If you buy rims .. mostly you'll find 38/43 offsets ... stay away from those and look in to mid 20's and get fenders rolled and you should be straight ...
Best of luck and maybe that helped ...
and I have went with 19x9 19x10 +25 all the way around .. but as you become a member of this forum longer even thats weak ..
after looking at what to do .. the original person who had these wheels before me had 15 mil spacers all the way around .. on them too but had to shave down the rear and slight pull
going with spacers soon .. picture attached .. just shows the rear rolled fenders in rear .. I have barly any room when I bag my car ..
Now some members with there gs3/4 have 11.5 in the rear with hella lip ... I hope they jump in and help to (Socalsc4) <~~~ sickness

Thanks beeguy, and ant thanks, you could have been a real dick but you werent. I have noticed most of the rears are 20s offset but just like Bippu said there are some members running 11.5s out back w crazy lipage and those are the ones I m kinda interested in knowing. I plan on possibly running UAS air ride if not coil overs, air runner is kinda too expensive for what I need air ride for, just need it for the instant ride height adjustment to avoid scraping etc I don't need the name for shows cause I wont be doing shows. Anyways I hope other people do come in here and share their offsets etc Bippu thanks for the link, I ll go through it when I get some time

I will echo Antony's post. The people you see running offsets below +25 have fender modifications. Below +20 and you are starting to have to do serious mods (ie: pulling or shaving the front fender.)
Anything can be done, but if you want to be headache free, I would not go below +25 in the front and +20 in the back. Even at that you are looking at rolling the fenders.
This is just based on my personal experience as I'm currently at +19 in the front and +24 in the back. I could add a 5MM spacer in the back and still be fine if I shave the rear fenders down to the edge. Past that, I'm looking at a pull.
At the offsets you are talking about, you will need to be running at least -2 degrees of camber in the front and back with stretched tires if your going to run slammed.
Hope this has been helpful. Goodluck.

the lippage depends on Disc as well as offset. if you can find out what the lowest disc you can run is (be it Low or Super Low or whatever out back) from whatever wheel company you want to get the wheels from, then the next step is to look on their charts to see how much lip you get per wheel.
if you want maximum lip it is a balancing act, but i have 10.5" rims on my s13 with 6" lips, you dont really need to have huge width because if you go 11.5" you will need to run like +40 offsets or something which will probably mean less dish.
all in all my point is you could probably get 10s +18 Super Lo disc and get like 4-5" dish, and not need to go really wide because by choosing low disc and less offset you will be getting dish.

i just picked up some 19s...
fronts 9.5" +18
225/35/19
and
rears 10" +25
235/35/19
i was running a 19 x 9" +20 with the same tires in the front before and it was fine.. these will be a bit more aggressive so well have to see

thanks for all the info guys, i was in the Dominican Republic on vacation so I had not replied. Looks like I will end up going with 9 fronts and 10 rear leaning towards 19s cause some have said 18s look kinda small but I m not sure yet either 18 or 19s as far as the offset the default would be +22 to +25 because I do not want to do more than pull the fender. I will be watching any wheels that go for sale on here in the next few months, if not I will hit up some of the vendors for the wheels, I have already asked about prices.
