Do you believe in Seafoam?

I've been using Seafoam for many years and had nothing but great results. I Seafoamed my 03 Suburban with 90k yesterday. Popped off the brake booster vacuum line and sucked down about half a can. Then added a full can into my gas tank. Turned off the truck and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Started it up, revved the shit out of it for about 5 minutes and enjoyed the smoke show!

After all this I noticed an easier startup, smoother idle and better throttle response. The stuff really woke up the truck! Anyone agree with me or are there any horror stories?

what does it do? sounds like you sprayed it into the intake manifold? Does it take the gunk off the runner walls and carbon buildup on the valves? Only think I would worry about it messing up sensitive electronics like o2 sensor and MAP and IACV etc..

You run the liquid through the vacuum lines and it's supposed to be safe on your sensors. Same manner as if you would manually clean your PCV or idle air control valve to cure idling problems.

http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm

* Cleans fuel injectors
* Cleans carburetor jets
* Cleans carbon
* Stabilizes fuels
* Upper cylinder lube
* Removes moisture in fuel
* De-icer
* Frees sticky lifters
* Frees sticky rings
* Removes moisture in oil
* Cleans P.C.V. systems
* Cleans catalytic converter odors
* Oxygen sensor safe

I've also heard stories of needing to change your oil afterwards, as well as put new fuel in it when pouring it in your gas tank. Never used it, so I can't say that anything I've heard is true. Some say it can remove carbon buildup that shouldn't be removed, and then you'll have leaky gaskets and main seals.

I only poured it into my oil and brake booster. you pour it in while the car is on, then the car will die. let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, start it up, and rev the shit out of it, then change your oil.

from experience with my 94' GS with 180K miles, it made start up much smoother and faster, throttle response was noticeable, idle got better, car got much much quieter, and overall it ran smoother. I give it 2 thumbs up.

i remember reading those threads on HT, most of the flaming and problems came because people didn't know how to use the thing. they were pouring the whole bottle into the brake booster or crank case and the engine wouldn't start up again because they flooded the engine.

if you go to a certain shop..will they seafoam your car for you? i kno its hella easy but i just dont feel right letting all that burn off just go out of my car like that...im guessing they have some type of filters they can use on your exhaust or some shit so it makes it legal for you to do this.....cuz im sure if a cop seen you revving your car up and all this white smoke coming out...you would be in some deep shit.

I used to use it before also. But then all the noise and smoke attracted way too much unwanted attention. So now I dont even bother with it anymore. But it is good stuff.
