New Set up in the works...
sup fellas...Just updating you folks on what was going on these days.
I have been pretty busy with work but have not had the time to spend on the car:sad:
oh wells business before pleasure right!
Wells I paid off my first investment in the T-shirt business and am ready to expand to a 6 color 4 station silkscreen press. I am very excited as I already have a big job lined up,, 600 soccer jerseys...
I will now be able to offer shirts and apparel at a lower price as silkscreening in house is much cheaper than vinyl to produce a quality garment.
Once I get this equipment (should be in two weeks) I will become a vendor again and hopefully be able to cater to more of your wants and needs..
I will now be offering
Decals, Vinyl transfer, Color thermal transfer, Sublimation Color Transfer and Silkscreen Printing.
Check out what I am ordering.
Now do to cost to produce a screen I will be posting images and asking for your folks opinions before producing a screen to print. Screens are the expensive part in producing a shirt...the ink is cheap where as with vinyl I can still do one off shirts and custom shirts for customers..basically best of both worlds now.
Here are some designs updated designs I have been working on...
Silkscreen
Vinyl
Sublimation/Chromoblast printing
Combo of Color Heat Transfer and Vinyl
Like I said once I get the equipment and get myself situated I will become a vendor and be in full production and will keep you folks updated as I go...
I just thought I would share with you all what the heck I have been up to these days...
I have been working on turing my back AZ room into a workshop for my business..had to upgrade outlets to 220v and upgrade my electrical box...lots of mula getting this up and going..
I really would like to get my car done but I also am looking forward for my future for my kids and family and think that at this point this is the right investment to do. There is plenty of time for cars...
Seeing widebodyQ's car really makes me wish I could complete my project... BUT like I said business before pleasure...
Keep VIP alive!!

yeah you gots to have the space...this machine is about 8ft in diameter and you will need at 2-3 ft of clearance around it so you can pass by the press to get around your shop.
A little pricey but with a few
biG jobs it can pay itself off quick...just have to land big accounts.
the first big job I have lines up I am expecting to profit about 2g's so do about 5 of those and BAM investment paid off.
I am excited but also nervous because now I have to really hustle my ass...I am thinking about hiring somone to go and land accounts..I think what I would do is pay them commission per account landed..a percentage of the profit that the job brought in..That way I can work and not have to worry about doing both...
BUT
quality and
meeting deadlines and
CUSTOMER service is the key to getting repeat customers and thats how I plan on doing things...
We should talk more.......

ha ha... i see where you're going with this. once you've had some time to get it down we might just have that talk.
good luck on landing those accounts. i'm sure you did your research before you invested but screen printing isn't what it was a couple years ago. pricing has got super competitive and dirt cheap.
when i actually buy a setup it will be more of any exspensive toy than an investment. sure i'll make some shirts and try to sell them but i don't really intend on ever being a "printer" and landing accounts and whatnot. its just something that i've always been interested in and would make it fun/easy to get my ideas out.

Well for me I dont mind thw work as long as the investment returns. I have been into graphic design for 12 years now.. My business brings in a nice chunck a change BUT not locally. most of my business is out state and a few international clients. Designing logos and websites and little video adds is nice and I love doing it. I also need a way to land local jobs and Websites and logos is not the market for Tucson. Folks here are cheap and do not want to pay what the job is worth. Were as out of state my pricess are very competitive and I have much success with clients paying no problem once they see my work.
As I have been coaching soccer now for 8 years going on 9 I have met many folks along the way and they have allways asked me if I could do this and that and in the past I had to subcontract work out. I saw the profit I was loosing by not doing it inhouse and thats what sparked this idea a few years back but I was affraid to invest back then...Now I have done plenty of research and feel way more comy investing in equipment such as this.
My short term goal is to pay off my equipment within this next year or so and long term investment is to open an actual shop and not work out of my home anymore.
The great thing is that once I get to my long term goal I can hire more folks to run the presses well I can still do graphics...
Graphics and Printing is where the money is at here and I know that most likely I will not get rich with this type of work but I will be working for myself and doing what I love to do so it wont be like work..I know there will be times when it will be work and something goes wrong and I have a deadline that I have to meet and the love will turn into stress but at the end of the day I can say BUT this is all me...noonw paived the road for me...it was all my hard work that made me successful....
We all have different priorities and my main priority is bringing in more income and beeing here to raise my 4 kids so they do not have to go to day care. I have two in school one is one year away from school and the other is 4 years away...it has been nice not to worry about day care..shit that expense alone cant make you broke.hahahahaah
IF you decide to get a system just for fun... I would suggest going with a less expensive maching...maybe like a 4 color 1 station press..I saw a package for $700 plus shipping....its a table top system.....

thats pretty much what i had in mind (4 color, 1 station).
its good that you're doing what you wanna do. i'm doing the same thing but my love is cars. i also like doing graphis design/fashion but not enough to make it a full time gig and definitely not enough to take on clients. i wanna do what i wanna do and stuff other than that doesn't interest me much. sounds childish i geuss but its really dedication and pride in what i do.

YEah me to..cause then for shure I will take a break and try to do some work to my car...next in line is an embroidery machine....that will be sick...great for company shirts, hats and that extra touch of class for executive folk...
seeing your cars progress makes me:sad: not for you but me..I had planned to have my car finished by the summer..With the aimgain kit modded with dual fog lamps and wide body my rear fenders to take out some camber and I wanted to widen the front fenders so I could eventually run a 10.5 front and 11.5 rear...only problem wher I live is that people do not understand wher I want to go with my car. Most body shops just say get smaller wheels..or take it somewhere else its not worth it...kinda gets me mad but money talks shit walks and once I get stable enough to show them the cash I am sure it will be a different story...kekekekekkeke....

I had a hard time too at first. I tell them my ideas and they look at me funny and tell me a bunch of reasons why it wont work or why it wont look good. At the end, tell them its your car and your confident that they can do the work and your paying cash (the cash part always gets them). Good luck
