Update: Test fit 19 ssr vienna kreis

alotta work still left this is just a test fit remember**
ok so most of you know im in the process of setting up for the summer. Blown designs mode parfume on and clean. So, here is the test fit before i send the rims out for refinishing and custom nhbp paint on the inner part of the spoke. I am also investing in the air runner set up for the KA9. I would like to know what size i should run for a considerable yet SAFE stretch. REMEMBER THESE ARE THE TIRES THAT CAME WITH THE RIMS. THEY ARE GARBAGE BARELY NO THREAD LEFT. Thanks.

This is gonna be nice!  Your fitment is almost exactly the same as mine is going to be.  I'll be on coilovers though.  

Are you on stock suspension right now?

The tires are definitely big!  I'm not sure what brand you are gonna run, but you could do 225/235 FK452/Federal etc.  Personally I'm going to try 215/35/19 ST115 on 8.5 all around and see how it is.

I don't think you need a huge stretch with Air Runner because the wheels/tires should tuck up into the fenders nicely.  

I think those sizes would work out great!

looking at the pics this looks to be the right information. should tuck up perfectly in there with 215/35 and 235/45

I would go with this tire setup listed above. You might even have to get spacers once you get the air put on.

Agreed.  Judging from Rev-01's TL on Air runner, you can run more aggressive offsets when you are on air compared to coilovers.   

I think 225 and 235 would be fine because the wheels should tuck into the fenders.  He could also try 215/225 to make sure there are no clearance issues at all.  This is why I'm going 215 on coilovers.

My plans are to move up to wheels this size and I am going to run 215's up front and 225's out back.  Like I  told you in PM, the 215's on the 8 inch wide wheel I have now just don't stretch enough in my opinion.  I still need to get you some pictures of that.  The wheels look great though!  With the black center they should be perfect!

opsi, what type of tire are you using?

Kumho Ecsta SPT

Good choice!  Now that FK451 and ST115 are tough to find, those are one of my top choices.  They stretch nice and run a little wide.

I have had no issues with the tires one bit.  They stretched decently and seem to drive well so far.

the ride is great but definitley learned my leason , never ride at 130 psi its bouncy as hell like a snoop dogg video..hehe best for me is 90 psi front and 55 psi rear

The car looks great.  Looks 10x better in real life.  The judges are idiots.  They just didnt like our crew.  We didnt get best participation award for the crew even though we had the most cars there.

Thanks! thats my boy agi's car he's on here as widebodyQ its an f50 q45 with bentley headlights and president grille with a custom bumper and ls 460 foglights. really sharp those pics dont do it justice.. 
BTW, ive been to hawaii i love it me and the girl went whale watching back in 2005 in maui. do you have any good pics of hawaii u can send me? esp. whale watching pics, my camera sucked from our vacation! sorry for off topic but i just realized ur from hawaii..

you guys are all crazy.... most jdm honda parts ran without amber lenses in the housing. there is nothing else orange on the car .it looks out of place to me. why keep stock look on such a nice car.    sorry...... maybe i just dont like the color orange. i just ordered clear coners for my mercedes, and i only had it a week.  

 but to each his own. besides....... i dont mine having the only ka9 ive seen with black housing no amber headlights.  i feel im doing what honda would have done if they offered some type of a sport model rl . they did this option for the first tl model.

^ I used to think the same way.  The first thing I would do to my cars is change all the amber bulbs to white.  
 
Why people would want to keep the amber is because it gives the car a stock feel.  To me the sickest part of his car is that you would think it came the way he has it (other then the wheels).
 
 
You also attract less police attention with amber.

Well, the 19x10 will work just fine.  I have already test fitted my next set of wheels and there is plenty of room in there.  I will be tryiong them on with the tires here shortly and will snap a few shots for you guys.

personally i think 19x10 is not necessary, imo

It may not be necessary but they will fit.  I actually have them on my car right now and things are just right fitment wise.  Not so sure I like the style though.

Max did you end up with the newer verison of Air Runner?

no, i have the basic set up if i wanted the newer version it would have ran me another 4k just to have them custom built because they only make them for the ls460 and q45. I am very happy with my set up however i want the front to go down another 1/4- 1/2 inch i think its hitting something that is not letting it lower more.

It's probably hitting that sharpedge right in the middle of the fender on the top portion, the part that usually cuts into tires if you drive ow enough had that problem when my integra was slammed with 16" wheels. Nice stance.

When I put my RL back to stock I found that my front A arm was hitting the top of the fender.  That explains the big bangs I heard sometimes.  To go lower you may have to cut a hole and weld a cover much like the GS thread on this forum

I dont think im one to speak on this subject lol but cutting up the strut tower will effect the resale value of the car. Lets say you want to part out the car and sell it stock, most people will think the car was in an accident when they see that the strut tower was modified. 
 
Im all for getting cars as low as possible but I value quality work as well. Make sure you guys pay alittle extra to do it the right way with a good shop rather then just hacking away. It will save you future headaches when its time to part ways with the car.
 
 
Max's fitment is pretty close to flush when in motion. It looks sick. His air runner kit rides real smooth too :biggthumpup:

To ride it low, yes, the shock towers muct be modified.  I had to cut mine but have yet to have them boxed in yet.  I know, I am slack....
