Discuss new date/place for upcoming VIP meet **Houston**

Alright guys, time for another VIP meet.  Lets discuss when and where to have it now.

Im suggesting a meet for saturday july 5th.  A lot of people should be off, and be able to make it out to this one.  Lets make this one our biggest meet yet.

i'll try and make it. ive got a wedding coming up soon though, so weekends are limited. i'll see if some of the guys over here wanna try and go.

You can shoot for Labor Day in September.  That way it is way in advanced so people can have more time to work around their schedule to make it out.  Usually the turn outs are big when its planned way in advanced.

How about an all Texas VIP meet on Sunday August 30th, the day before labor day?  That way we know people will be off on monday and be able to come to houston to meet up.  Now, the second thing is....WHERE TO HAVE IT?!?

The last meet I went to was at that one dead shopping center at the smokeshop.  That is way too open for a gathering.  What do you think of meeting at a remote park somewhere to hang out until people arrive and do a group cruise to some place to grab a bite to eat together.  It'd be great for those who come from afar for the meet.  This way it'll make their trip more worthwhile, especially since gas prices are sky rocketing. :sad:

Not a big fan of sushi but I dont have to eat. No tilted Kilt, the first and only 2 times I have gone I have had horrible experiences. I mean the tits were nice but over all I was not very satisfied lol.

ya ive been there.  food is aight but the parking is ridiculous.  That parking lot gets sooo packed.  

I dunno bout blue fin, its about $30-$40 a plate and im not sure how many ppl would be willing to spend that much.

that garage his hard to maneuver through with a stock car, some of us arent gonna be able to make it up there. even the guys on air.

What about one of the place in, fuck I forget the name, but in that shopping strip by Sugarland. Same center where Perrys is, for those that know where that is, they have a couple restaurants there and its a nice area. Dropped car friendly to,  if my civic made it, you guys can specially the ones on air.

I know of a place in Sugar Land that is a shopping center where not many cars park at.  It is next to Wells Farm/across the street from HEB (hwy 6 & Dulles).  Bushes are covering the parking lot so its not that visible from hwy 6 or Dulles.  PLENTY of parking!  It is in the same shopping center as AUTOZONE, VELOCITY, GNC, STARBUCKS, and STAR SNOW ICE.

^But where would everyone meet/eat at?

Kona grill is a no, because some other ppl in the crew dispise the place.  Ive never ate there, so I wouldnt mind.  

We could meet at the Edwards Cinema center on 610/i10.  They have Todai which is sushi and seafood buffet.  They also have Dave and Busters.  Plus thier parking lot is huge as hell.  

Anyone agree with Aug 30th @ like 3-4pm meet at Marq*E center on 610/I10?

Ya true, I dont wanna leave me ride out exposed to who knows what.  At least with a smaller venue we would be able to keep an eye on our rides.  You know there is a nice sushi resturant here in cinco ranch.  Nick, remember where you took pics of our rides.  You wanna try that Japanese steakhouse down westy pkwy, or we could try that sushi place in cinco ranch town center.

todai is good, its gonna be $31/person for the dinner. For that price they serve sushi and different meats like fogo now. Parking wise, hmmm... I think if we park close to todai we'll be ok, there's spots right in front of the restaurant.

The food isnt great but the drinks are haha.  So is the date set so some of the out of town folks can make it? Seems like the only people that will be attending are the houston peeps.

Personally, it dont matter where yall have it to me.  The Marque center is pretty horrible idea, my friends car got his window broken and all they took were his cigs while we were at the movies lol.

we already decided no d&b, the parking in that lot...its like fkn sardines lol

we can also do Kenshin Sushi on HWY 6 and Dulles. Parking is pretty spacious there.

yeah but they're expensive for a not so nice place.  To eat, you can cruise down hwy6 towards 59 and eat around First Colony Mall.  They also have a garage there.

there is a pf changs in both willowbrook and woodlands
also they have babins in both locations too
thats all i can think of off the top of my head right now

woodlands is like 60 miles on the otherside of houston for 90% of us. and willowbrook is pretty theivy...how about something near memorial? beltway/memorial area i mean.

That parking is even worse! I couldnt even make it up the driveway in my IS. Too steep..
 
You can make reservations if theres alot of people...

ive never had a problem getting up any of the drives there...and that was in my integra which was lower than most of the population of "dumpt" houston cars. theres a side entrance across from bw3.

im just nervous for a few of the members with the nicer cars having to park in the garage over there. i think the parking sucks + it will be a wknd in the summer and alot of kids tend to hang out in town centre or whatever.

or we can do Pang Tai on Westheimer and Walnut Bend.

i say 1 or 3...decent parking for EVERYONE. and its a central(ish) location for most.

im leaning towards 3 though. theres more than enough parking and flat roads.

I say #3. Its easy to find, huge parking and central to almost everyone.

Never had red robins but they do have a huge lot that doesnt even get full. The tinseltown lot is there to for those of yall that are gonna take pics of your cars and stuff.  Ill just stay tuned for the final say.
