#1594754th Annual School supply Drive May 25 @Aloha Tower
Every year for the past 4 years the SE Hawaii team organizes Hawaii's largest School Supply Drive benifiting "Helping Hands Hawaii Read to Learn Program"The Ready to Learn Program helps over 8000 of Hawaii's Childern and families every year with School Supplies. Yet this year the number has grown becuase of the closoure Aloha Airlines, ATA and Molokai Ranch in which employed more than half if the Island of Molokai.
The event was held at a new location at Hawaii's Famous land mark "The Aloha Tower Market Place" in which gave us a more public friendly location right on the main road leading to Waikiki.
The event consisted of 4 grand prizes from the Hawaii Superferry of 4 round trips valued at over $400.00 a round trip. and Scion Hawaii attempting to give away a 2008 Scion XD.
.SE Hawaii had also 22 Scions on display as well as clubs as Club Lexus and XK displaying someof Hawaii's VIP rides as well as the Subi Life club and Kaotik car clubs.
Companies group that got invovled in doing there own Drive within there work groups were Dtric and AIG Insurrance, Kalani High School and Ala Moana Shooping Center donating 100.00
Through out the day other club such as XK, Paridise Cruisers, Club Lexus and the Mustang Perfomance club organized car crusies to come down to drop off School Supplies and to check out the car show.
With the efforts of everyone working as a team in the 7 hour span the event generated over 1000.00 and est value of School supplies of 3000.00. all proceeds goes to Helping Hands Hawaii
SE Maui Members Todd brought his XB from Maui via the HAWAII SUPERFERRY to show with the team and Ron also flew in to support and to help with manpower for the even. I can never say more to these guys with there dedication to always promoting SE in a positive way and taign the time to come to every Honolulu event.. Thank you guys!!!
With this event in the books as a huge sucess Car Cummunity showed the true meaning of HELPING HANDS and the True meaning of a Car Clubs and the Hawaii car blubs in which can come together as a whole to help the Community.
