i was lookin around for pictures of boso cars (for no particular reason) and stumbled on this. galleries all the way back to 91 and definitely some early vip in there. its nuts. half the time im laughing but you gotta respect it. roots.

pretty cool. its weird to see some of them cars on the dates...2005 and they had the ls460 already at the shows....and the gtr...crazy.

When did they start with crazy camber? If I look at the pictures from f.ex 2001 there is not one car with any camber.

Most guys didn't experiment with low offsets until about 2003 or so.  But just because you do not see any in the gallery, does not mean it did not exist.  I have some VIP mags from 1997 that MAY have some.  I'll see what I can dig up and see if my scanner still works.

Ok so I looked through one of my first old VIPCAR mags (1999 May) and what i noticed is that wheels were wide but extensive body work was used to make them fit with little camber.  They did camber with body work, but that goes hand in hand with lowering a car.  So I would venture to guess no more than 3 degrees.

I think it's only been recent that VIP guys are cambering on stock bodies.  Otherwise, I would be safe to say that 80% of the cars in the magazine I just looked at have some sort of flares.
