New to VIP
Hello everyone, im new to the whole VIP scene. my name is Dan and I currently drive a 95 nissan S14, but been looking for a change. Ive just started looking @ cars and noticed this style. I think the first car i saw was Pancakes car @ this years stillen meet and was thinking the car looks for sick but, yet its built so simple wheels and stance (never meet PANCAKES just see him on other forums). im planing on buying a co-workers 98 q45 w/50k miles.

LMAO. Here comes the 240 mentality. I've been in that scene. I didn't have the mentality, so there was no sticker shock moving on to VIP.
With your handle, it seems like you'd be ok with spending the money for quality parts.
Welcome.

yeah, the xd9/emotion series are fairly cheap compared to all other works. too bad about the q. i'm still trying to get that same body style, if i could ever sell my girls freaking altima.

Welcome to the site. I hope you do find a good low milage car.
Although Pancakes car may look simple, it was very expensive to build. You may not even notice all the accessories on it but its all about the total package. Nothing looks out of place. To suceed in vip, you have to save and not be tempted to jump on the first deal that you see. Good luck

i will totally agree with VIP being a much more gradual and steady process than the Silvia scene. its very much about the attention to details which all in all make the car look simple and clean yet were very much deliberate.
good luck hunting around, im sure you will enjoy the luxury of a VIP platform, i know i certainly do coming from an S13 silvia, an 82 Skyline DR30, and then anothe S13 into a 98 GS300!

oh and as for wheels i guess it very much depends where you come from. Emotions are cheap as chips these days so im not surprised you were taken aback at the prices in comparison to those!
i bought brand new Work VS-XX 18s in Gold and they set me back $3k AUS landed. In comparison i was quoted through the same source a set of 19" Trafficstars (pretty much any model all same price) in Polish finish for $2800 landed.
so its comparable, big nice wheels are just expensive either way but make a MASSIVE difference. once i bought new for my last S13 and got the reactions etc i'll never go back to scrounging around 2nd hand and "making do" with wheels that arent exactly what i want..

Welcome to the fourm. VIP can be much more laid back then the race/drift scene. I think anyway. It may cost more but well worth the extra money.
