My car club homie's project. These are 22s mind you! Not very VIP, but badass none the less! By the way, the car's on hydraulics :biggthumpup:

I value not rubbing, scraping, or excessive tire wear over having riding around low everywhere. I ride low when I want to, but the rest of the time I lay under the radar...

i considered that, but laying is laying. the ground is as low as you can go without floor pan/sub frame mods.

DAMN ... thats insane with the mods he did to the car ... wow and 22s ??  crazy .. how about the rear ? i seen stockies but was wondering what he was gonna have to do ..

I can appreciate the fab work and hope there's more to come, obviously the looks are just temporary till he gets this all sorted first.  Definitely not feeling those wheels though..haha.  I am curious what the final outcome will be...

For bags and no tubbing i think this is sick to be this low.

Pretty cool.

On one hand I'm really impressed by the fab, the engineering and all that behind it.

But I can't help but think how much cooler it would be if it could drive like that.

looks like those dub city toy cars.  awesome fab job.  definitely not for everyone.

i don't think its that simple. according to his ssm profile its bodydropped 3.5" and "Paul’s car is laid out with a custom tube front end with an engine cage and relocated suspension arms. A custom tube setup with fabricated suspension arms was installed in the rear." its also a 6 year old build.

not the lowest in the country and not the only one.  There is a guy up in OK that has a blak cherry pearl GS430 on 22s with a 4" body drop on that bitch.  It lays frame like no otha.   Your boys ride is fuckin dope, man thats some insane metal work.

you can "unibody-drop" but that involves raising the strut towers, which this car doesn't have. :dunno:

I have no idea, im not a metal worker.  The guy who owned it told me it was body dropped 4".  All I know is that it was on 22s and possibly lower than your homeboys.  Ill try and find some pics tonite when I go home.

Well all he did was get rid of the shock towers added a shock relocation to an aftermarket lets say toxic shock and just took out the OEM stuff.  Welded up the bag brackets and done.  Reason for getting rid of shock towers so the UCA doesnt hit the top of it.

i'm thinkin the guy anis is talking about is probably the same guy. all the pics/info i have are at least 2 years old. i know he's also from down here cause he took a trophy in heat wave.

That's crazy, I didn't realize you have to be that low to get flush in the front with a 18" on a GS. I think that car could benefit hugely from a radiused rear though, that would really set it off like no other.

I'm going to miss those Anceltion wheels, they are one of my favourite.

i see you on ssm so i know you know what i'm talking about. whether or not the terminology is correct raising the strut towers is considered a body drop on a unibody car, which i see your boy has done.

A body drop is technically dropping the entire body over frame rails so the body, is equal to the frame as the lowest part of the vehicle.  Only vehicles with a frame (older cars, caprice's, trucks) can achieve this.  I would consider this car "tubbed."  

FYI, the white lexus...he can drive that low...the tubs are larger than when the car hits the ground so if the car is 1mm off the ground, it can move.   The rear still needs to be done, but compared to the front, it will be easy.

[I]technically[/I] you're right but its common terminology to call a unibody "body dropped" or "unibody dropped" once the strut towers have been raised.
 
just like a stock floor body drop doesn't necessarily have to drop the body at all. mini-truckers aren't the most technical people on earth.

  i was all about max fitting wheels my wheels and putting the smack down over going for crazy offset 19's on my front wheel drive.  i got nothing but flames for it, got told this is not a dub site and that i dont belong here.  now this gs has not one flame.   wow!!

it is true about us mintruckers ,give us a grinder, torch, and a welding machine and we will show you all about taking it to the next level without relying on a bunch of overpriced accessories.

sign of the times i guess. seems like the new breed (and some of the ogs) are a little more willing to go outside of the "stock fender platform dropped on flush 19s" look lately.
 
not saying that i would do 22s or that its even a "vip look", but its dope and its nice to see the work and not just held to the "vip standard".

I don't like that look at all but I can appreciate the work done to get it that way. Most enthusiasts are the same way.

By the way, ride height is the wheel at the top of fender. Because of his wheel well mods he can roll dumped and still easily turn.

man that looks insane. a year or so ago i would have been all about it but i guess now i would rather see some nice fitting 19/20s. i guess thats what vscdoes to you.
