Thanks for the compliments guys. I have had the car for about 4.5 years and it is FINALLY getting close to my vision of how I want it to be.

I just picked up a set of 19x8.5/9.5 Work Eurolines that I was going to run, but unfortunately they wont clear in the rear since the offset is too high and it rubs on the inside of the fender and I cant run spacers and wobble bolts (they are 5x114.3 wheels). They will probably be up for sale soon, they are et42F/45R which would probably work for a lot of you guys.

I was just about to mention wheels when you posted this..haha. That would complete the package I think. If I were you, I'd make them fit. A little poke is always acceptable on a vdub!! You KNOW this!! Well done. Anxious to see what you can do with a proper vip build. Welcome to the forums...

I need to look into re-drills since I really do LOVE these wheels. Here is a picture of them:

Forum image

The smallest adapter I could run is 20mm which would put me 10mm MORE aggressive then the current setup, so even with some stupid stretch the car wouldnt go nearly as low and there would be some crazy poke out back (even some poke up front too....) I might get them redrilled though...or I might just sell them and keep my eye out for something more offset friendly since re-drills scare me a little.

Honestly 10mm is hardly anything to worry about. If the poke bothers you that much, it would be so easy to pull and not even damage the paint. I think it would look even better with that extra poke..to me that's what separates a nice vdub to a hot one.

Poke doesnt bother me...trust me. I just want the car lower, and in order to do that I dont want to run anything more aggressive then I already have. I had 19x8 et25/20 on my last setup which would still be 6mm less aggressive in the front then the Works after adapters and the car would not go low at all.

Ok...anyone know where I can adapters made SMALLER than 20mm? Like a 15? A 10 would be ideal, but I dont think anyone makes them, nor would it even safely work that small. I think 15 should work though. I want these Works on the car :runcoold:

The wheels are a hate it or love it style. Its a VERY Euro looking wheel. They reminded me a lot of the old body Audi A8 wheels (which are pretty common in the dub scene), but larger and with a dish.

this is coming from a fellow dubber (granted, a MkI dubber)....I'm really impressed with your Passat build:biggthumpup: There are several dubs and Audi's here in the PNW running air and your's looks awesome!!

Quick question....couldn't you run a little more camber in the rear and get the Works to fit? I know the adapters REALLY push them out so maybe it's not gonna work....but it would look sooo good!

Thanks man!

So, it looks like I am going to be keeping the Works. I am working on finding a machine shop to fill and redrill the bolt pattern. Then ill do 10mm spacers all around, maybe a tad more aggressive we will see how they fit. I cant find anyone to do adapters less than 20mm and that just wont work. So redrill and space them out, stretch a 225/235 front and rear on there and it should look good. :runcoold:
this is coming from a fellow dubber (granted, a MkI dubber)....I'm really impressed with your Passat build:biggthumpup: There are several dubs and Audi's here in the PNW running air and your's looks awesome!!

:runcoold:

Thanks for the kind words guys.

So I talked with Motorsport Tech yesterday and since the Works have pockets on the back near the bolt holes they can make me 15mm adatpers which would be about 5mm more aggressive then my current setup, but ill be stretching more tire, so it should work out. So within the next month I should have the Eurolines on sitting nice and proper stance wise
