What Type Of Brackets to use...............
Shawn, Mike, Anyone,
I am heading towards the Air (probally UAS) Route for the EGG (TEIN Super Wagon Coil-Overs may be up "For Sale") but need to know what type of "brackets" were used for the "rears". Any info, part numbers of what you guys are running, or anyone with expertice with Air Sus on the Egg please chime in. Thank you ahead of time!
I know that there is a "wheels and suspension" forum but figure I would post here since it is "Egg Related".

So you never "welded" the rears? Please elaborate.
Also what will probally make you sick in the stomach is if you look at his fronts(different post).....he can coil down a lot more......he can probally have the front aero "kiss" pavement........I meant bottom out on the oil pan. That is one thing I can't stand about the Egg.

The rear brackets can be made easily if not, I'm sure some of the local 808 guys can help you. Mine came with the Airrunner kit. I cant seem to find the pics.

I am currently "leaning" toward the UAS system, do you think that it is possible to "cut" the rear brackets.....want the "booty" of my Egg as close to the ground as possible (just like Shawn's fronts.)

i always thought about cutting the rear brackets too.. so on mine.. the bag and brackets just sit in that position and the weight of the car just holds it in place..haha so dangerous..
i want my front and rear as low as that guys front!! howd u do it! please elaborate! and how high is it when the bag is fully inflated?

esvipstyle,
I am assuming that his fronts are lower because he has Coil-Overs.......the rears..........not sure why he seems lower than you.

For the rears, cant you use a shorter bag? (from UAS), and shorter brackets? so it can lower back more?

Was unaware that they have "shorter" Brackets and Bags. But I figure with a shorter Strut with Coil-Over capability will help "fine tune" both the Dampening and Height.
RASRX7.......please send me the shipping quote.

hey Yoshi,
Well, I believe that if you buy a UAS kit for the previa you will get the "Air House 2" bag for the rear. I just went to their site and the compressed height of the bag is 2.0". I thought that the Air house, would be smaller but its just pretty much smaller in diameter. So I guess I was wrong with the availability of shorter bags.
Here are the two bags from UAS site:
https://www.universalairsuspension.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=67&osCsid=01f5c5028f41f48f26fa159c00cc8e5e
https://www.universalairsuspension.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=31&osCsid=01f5c5028f41f48f26fa159c00cc8e5e
I suppose, that you will just have to shorten the brackets instead, so lower the height because I believe that the overall height of the bags and the two brackets combine will determine the actual "drop" height of the rears for our previas.
For brackets, you can use something like this:
https://www.universalairsuspension.com/product_info.php?cPath=30&products_id=106&osCsid=01f5c5028f41f48f26fa159c00cc8e5e
I suppose to make it lower, you will just need to "shorten" the brackets..and then the overall height of the bag, brackets will be shorter hence giving you a more lowered stance. But make sure you still have enought clearance for the air line.
I hope this makes sense...haha.
A second option is to look for a different brand of BAG that will provide even a shorter height???
I hope this helpes...sorry if I didnt make sense or if I am talking out of my butt! haha.
I am interested to know what shock did Shawn use for the rears? Oh wait, he had a coilover setup before therefore his shocks are already shortended...Because that will also LIMIT the height due to the limited compressed length.
regards.

hondaboi,
Thanks for all the info...........I don't know diddly when it comes to Air Systems, but I got friends who are "steering" me in the right direction. Aren't friends the greatest........not sure if they will consider me a friend once this is all done and over with. LOL
