Suggestions for '99 LS400 VIP build

Just acquired a '91 LS400 as a repo. Now looking to use it as a platform for a VIP project. Wanting suggestions or direction for the following in this creation:
 
body kit
wheels
suspension
audio/video
accessories
exhaust
(and and any other things I should be considering)

okay,maybe you should list down the parts that you liked/planned on buying and then ask us for opinions.because if you ask us what parts WE think you should buy,its like your trying to build a car to make people like you.please dont take this wrong the wrong way.just build a car to your liking.and take a look around this site,theres alot sick ass LS's here.

Wheels and suspension is always the first thing to do with these cars. 

For exhaust, I like the setup on BIGGZ's GS. I think that setup looks great on UCF10s. Isn't that a Junction Produce Type II exhaust?

definitely go with an air ride set up.

It seems that the overall concensus so far is wheels n suspension. So, I want as wide as possible without doing a widebody kit. What will this car hold while laying it down too? I will pick the sick style wheel. I ask since it seems you all have the experience in this arena...

Stay a while, do your homework, find out what you want, and do your own thing. :biggthumpup:

[B]wheels[/B]- id recommend going with 19's, 19x9/19x10 or 19x9.5/19x10.5 or 19x10/19x11, work wheels, leons, weds, you can go low offsets depending on what widths you go with.[B] 
suspension[/B]- air suspension for sure. air runner or UAS
[B]audio[/B]- whatever your heart desires
[B]exhaust[/B]- big tips

you also have to ask yourself how much are you willing to spend on this project.

$$ not really an issue here fortunately. However, I don't want to go too wild. No widebody kits.

Mos def air suspension and a nice set of wide wheels 1st.

Depends on what style kit you want too. Traditional VIP style like the Junction Produce kit, or a more subtle lip kit like Wald Executive.
 
Wheels wise, just keep in mind that you CAN fit Super Low Disk on UCF10's. I wouldnt go wider than 9.5's on the front. On the rear, I have 19X10 +10 super low disk. Honestly, with that size you already have to pull the fenders a little... just slightly. This is of course with stretched tires. Regular size, forget about it, I pulled my quarters slightly and I still cant really tuck the actualy wheel lip, let alone a normal sized tire
 
My fronts are 19X9.5 +16. With that size you can tuck them with only rolling the fender lip. You actually can go slightly lower on the offset, maybe +14 or so.

NEVER thought it would take this long and be this hard finding the right set of wheels for this car!
 
Good thing I am not in ANY hurry to finish this car, but I am just very impatient and would like to get started. Need to find the right set that I like to be able to the airbag set up correctly.
 
Slow as we roll on this neverending process modding a vehicle...

im running 19x9.5 +12 in the front, 19x10 -10 (negative)... wouldnt recommend it unless you plan on doing some serious work to get them to fit. if you dont plan on doing work to make offsets like those fit, i would recommend 19x9 in the front with an offset of +15 thru +25, 19x10 rear +15 thru +25. in the rear youll just have to roll the lip up a little bit...

19x9 +15, 19x10 +15 but the rear required fender work and camber.

Hunting for a nice kit, but something a little different that not EVERYBOBY else seems to have. Tough to do on a ucf10. Not giving up though...

Advice from Real Gang Members cause those Rides are Gangster ... :runcoold:
 
Im Gonna Use that Advice for My Build Also but
 My Question is What Size Tires are you Running with those Wheel Sizes ???
 
Also with My Build Im Getting Air Suspension First then Wheels.

I have taken a lot lesser and worse shape vehicles and made VERY desireable vehicles out of them, so this will be yet another challenge.

Well, things are now going to change. Today, I assumed yet another LS400. A better, nicer looking '93.
 
Might use that 1 instead of the '91 for this project and use the '91 for parts I may need..

Enough work for today...

dont fuck up like me. I went exhaust, springs, bodykit first then thinking id get my wheels asap with my ballin as job... I quit my job and been saying im getting wheels for 10 months now :pat:.

can get wheels anytime. Have a few sets of wheels here already. just lookin for options on wheels.

G/L on your build...and isn't there a guy in FL selling a Wald lip? It's for cheap (just a thought). Ahh forget it looks like that inq was made earlier on...

Yeah, but it was sold anyway.

Sorry it's been sooo long since an update. Shop has been EXTREMELY busy! A good problem to have.
 
Well both of these vehicles were bought from me b4 completion. 1 of the new owners wanted his back to stock, which we did. Now he want a VIP build  after seeng other builds we did here (go figure). So back to square 1 on 1 of the originals, the '93 and also a burgandy  '04 Q45.
