What's the best deals right now for Hotels.

Trying to Book a hotel and the prices we are seeing are crazy.

Planning on sharing a room with another couple. (No swinger)

look at the classifieds there to find someone renting a condo or house. I hear u get better deals. 
 
I booked at a Spa/Resort and grabbed a rental car....But i paid wayyyy too much

Thanks my buddy got a time share by the airport but for 103 a night and 2 bedroom suite i can't complain.

Thats cheap. which time share? polo towers, etc. imperial palace is cheap and in the middle of the strip but its not a place to relax. just a place to sleep and get out deal.

When my boss and coworkers went last year, when they came back they already had booked hotel and air for this years sema... but that's them... should've booked months in advance...   Luckily, my moms 5 brothers, sister, and cousins live there. I have no problem finding a place to stay.. But visiting family, old high school friends, sema, and the autobody equivalent to sema in 1 week, seems to be a big problem for me...   My brother has a house by south point that no one live in, we use it when ever we would come out to vegas... but he is renting it out to my uncle... if no one was living there id rent it out to some of you guys.... oh well...

Hey guys, I live here in Vegas. As for "cheap" hotels, you're pretty much fucked at this point, unless you've already booked way in advance. Everyone knows (or should know) that strip room rates are always way overpriced during any major convention, esp SEMA, CES, etc

Two "regularly" cheap off strip places  I would suggest are the Wild Wild West (trop and polaris) and Palace station. Neither are super ballin, but honestly your hotel is usually just a place to crash for a few hours a night after partying. Spending major cash for a nice room seems like a waste considering how little you're actually in your room... Also I've never looked into it but I bet there are some deals to be had in downtown/freemont area also.

Finally I would highly suggest checking out Craigslist. Many people who own properties near the strip rent their houses out during major conventions often for alot less than you'd pay for a hotel room. If you don't see something put up a wanted ad and I'm sure a local will contact you.

This one is Grand something Hotel, it's on the strip but like Southern LV Blvd.

I got 2 rd trip tickets for 317
hotel stay is about 185
and car rental will be about 60 (was tempted to pay more for the 300C)
So this isn't too bad for lat minute.

I like it over on the Fremont Strip!! Not too far but nottoo close!!! I'll be at Binions!!!! I always go good there!!! Ususally make enough money back that it pays for the trip and a little more!!!

let me know what dates you guys are looking for and i'll look it up. Its not true about what they say when you book in advanced. sometimes the cheapest prices are right before the actual event. Especially when you book online they'll have last minute 40% off deals. PM me your arrival and departure, and i'll see what i can find.

their website says no general public....WTF....isnt this like the biggest show?

I always stay at the venetian, but thats cos they give me free suites...

if you want I can call my host and see what rates they can hook ya up with.

well its for automotive alumni only.  Youd have to sign up your corporation under a false automotive company or you need to know someone who has a booth or is showing to get in.  Ive never been to SEMA so I dont really know how it all works, this is just what I was told from a friend.

No but you should purchase your plane tickets NOW.

sema has a housing division that have rooms set aside for members coming to the show...its not much of a discount but it is cheaper than calling the hotel direct....they have rooms at all the hotel on the strip, i just booed mine at the mgm...i will post the phone number and the contact person later

As far sema goes, it's industry people only so you have to be in the automotive field or go with someone who is in the automotive field.

so i found a room at circus circus for 68 a night.... cheap.... everything else was atleast 150 a night... i dont care im not gonna be there anyway..

this is the number for aapex/sema housing...they have discounts from the hotels...i got $30 off what the hotel directly quoted me

Im in the car business and have a business card reflecting as business manager......you think that will fly?

if your new they require your business card and copy of business license.  if you got that your good to go...i would register now before the price goes from $15 to $50

We were gonna stay at the MGM Grand....its a four STAR and expedia had it right around $950 for four nights....

you work for tuscany? dude thats awesome I stayed there last time its actually pretty damn nice and you're right it fits everyone and then some the double suites are spacious... and speed bumps are easily avoided through proper route choice
