Coilovers for 1st Gen Aristo.

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good quality Coilover that has comfortable settings for daily driving for a 92-98 Lexus Gs300. Is there even such a thing? from what i here all the coilovers ride too stiff, I tried searching but the Search feature is kind of weak on here. Thanks in advance!

Tein CS coilover which is what I have and it provides a very smooth/comfy ride even on the stiffest setting.

Tanabe Sustec Pro type C's are really good they still make the car ride like stock and give it a 4" dump... ;D BTW whats up Lexaristo almost done man... ;)

Seriously though, I'm going to be installing a set of K-Sport coilovers on my friends first gen GS this weekend, he got them off e-bay for $850 i think. Anyways, I'll let you know how they ride. I have HKS Hipermax on my GS and as long as they arn't slammed (like in the pics I posted)...lol they ride great. If they are slammed they are a bit bouncy, cause of lack of suspension travel.

when i talked to tanabe, they told me it won't drop more than 1.5 or 2"

Hahah...i know i know...i was all about performance with my Corolla, and just decided to stick with the SN on all the boards.

i was thinking Tein CS...but im gonna do my research now.

after Shawn suggested those to me as well...............I looked in to them and seem to be one of the bestter options.

No compramise...........your just netter off doing it right the first time ( with exeption of air ;))

I've owned Ksports and rode them for over a year.......not bad.....a little bouncy.......but like I said, with coilovers, I'm not gonna compramise this time.

tein CS are no longer in production.
there were only 2 sets floating around in america that
tein knows of.

i spoked with tein, hks, blitz, tanabe, d2, and even koni.
 i think the best solution is to have a threadable
shock body so you don't lose travel, even at the lowest levels..
the JIC seems to offer that.. the d2's do also, BUT! they say
their springrates and valving is meant for track use. they say you
can get any spec you want. it will take an extra 1.5 months but it can be done.
i was thinking alone the lines of having the d2's special ordered..
having the stiffest setting be harder than the setting they have for
the 1st gen GS. 

But, i dont really trust companies like ksport, d2, and little guys that seem to
float around ebay....

I'm not saying that k sports are the best choice, but they are readily available. Which is a lot more than i can say for most others, jic's included. 

Ksports, and D2's both have threaded shock bodies, which means you'll have full shock travel even with them all the way lowered, as long as you don't droop the spring. 

I'll hopefully have some more info for you guys on the K-sprots (which are probably the same thing as D2's, but who knows) after this weekend.

Yes, threaded shock bodies indeed.  I droped my previous car doing just that, and giving me full spring travel.

i just really want to see a car with superlow's to see how low they go.... :)

i myself really wanted a set of d2s..
its just that im not sure if a lot of r&d was
put into them.. im just trying to help fellow car enthusiasts..
