finally making progress after a year

suspension done. waiting on digital setup. autopilot is stupid, the transducer wires are only a foot or so.:slap:
front and rear tuck 20's with 245/35's. if i had 19's with a good stretch 30 series it would probably almost lay frame.

my guy was working on getting it lower. he kept squeezing extra 10mm at a time. idk how exactly, just modifying brackets and removing perches and rearranging stuff i guess. he re-did some work a few times already cause he keeps finding ways to modify it.
anyway looks like i wont get it back til the weekend. o well.

yeh, uas on new oem struts. im taking pics of all the struts etc after. someone on here and a couple guys on freshalloy are interested in the strut setup. honestly though, i wish i went with coilovers. the struts were a lot harder to mod than expected. i got a great price on the oem struts from nissan via sessionsusa (thanks bryan) but for 1500 more i couldve just got coilovers shipped. wouldv'e saved a bunch of time, and labor. Also i must note that my installer did a great job of installing and reinstalling everything to get it lower n lower. the fronts are like an inch lower than what the normal UAS install would have yielded. the rears probably a half inch to an inch. it would have originally looked like a seesaw with the rear dumped and the front tucking only part of the tire.

Wow that sucks with the Digital Controller......any way you can Warranty that stuff? Or does it not come with a Warranty because it is an "electronic" item. Hope my tuning of my Easy Street Digital Controller is going alright.....recall he was encountering some problems with the Easy Street Digital Controller also.

Either way I hope that you are able to get that thing up and running......especially because its not like it was a cheap piece.

ugh my car is stuck at a high ride height and easystreet wont get back to me til monday at the earliest. the ride on the fronts is mean, better than stock. rear is real high right now so its bouncy and twitchy. if they dont warranty it then ima be pissed. i dont see why not since it worked for only 10 seconds.

They did a Warranty on the Digital Controller huh? It may come down to that if all fails. They are currently looking for a solution to my "ride height" function. Looking forward in seeing your ride completed. It is going to look sick. You, Kyle, and Mikey should get together for a Photo shoot when all your Q's are done.

Actually when I had 20's on I had about an 3/4 gap all around the Kit, once I went 19's I was basically 1/4 inch or less on the ground (never really measure)... lol Also I just upgraded the Airrunner kit with the Air runner Electric 8 valve, hella alot faster, but no floating after lift hehe...
By the way what happen to the stereo?

haha i also might add i fiberglassed the controller into my ashtray the other day, so if i go with another brand itll be tons o' fun. i didnt think the second unit would be faulty too. :pat: i mean wouldnt they test it and stuff before they shipped it out? especially since i just returned the last one and they claim they didnt have problems before, wouldnt they look into it?

That's messed up man. Sorry to hear about that. What is even more jacked is that you are dumped and can't roll. I currently have it set on "manual" as the "Pre-set" for the "Ride Height" is a no go. I got "remote" start and it would of been great to "automatically" raise up to ride height. Right now I am all "Manual" and getting all the PSI levels to match is no fun.

E-mailing Jeremy to resolve my issues with no luck yet. I still have "hope" that it will get fixed. I hope both our stories will have a "good ending".

Wow that is prety low...I can't even see any "light".

When I had my Maxima I ripped out the Cat and replaced it with the "Cherry Bomb". The design should give you more clearance. Not sure of how much "louder" the exhaust would be though.

My Egg has one Cat Removed, Replaced with a Muffler pics up in the other thread. I still think that it is a little loud and would not mind if I could tone it down a little more. One good thing about the exhaust noise is that it drowns out the noise made when the compressor kicks in. LOL

As for my Digital Controller........no still got problems. But the problems are due to the "Product".

Thats the lowest part of the car. I had that thing rip off like 3-4 times until I said F*** it and just went straight pipe from there lol. I rarely go over 2k rpm on the streets so the cops dont harrass about the noise but when I get on it, it sounds like a beast

this sounds pretty interesting. i wonder what kind of maniacal plans u got.

and blkonblk as far as i know there isnt oval tubing here, and no straightpipes for me its too loud for my neighborhood plus it takes away the classy feel. i just want a nice roar when i gun it but i dont like the loud burbles of a idling straight pipe.

sacrifices have to be made to get low. i didn't really mean straight pipes... just resonator delete.

if you ask me a mean v8 rumble is more classy than draggin s**t on the ground.

i see i see. well in my case id have to do a 2 main cats and a resonator delete. plus my exhaust already has a muffler delete, leaving me with 2 of the smallest mufflers i have on the car.

ya i feel u about hearing exhaust over scrapes. but im not currently draggin anythin its just that once in awhile i gotta reweld the exhaust back up cause it hits something and gets lower than its supposed to be.

i was tryin to find pics of an f50 exhaust cause, admittedly, i'm not 100% on whats going on down there.

i wouldn't delete the cats but possibly use a racing style cat that has much less bulk probably.

Forum image

resonator i would delete, and possibly a larger muffler to help with the sound since they are usually tucked out of the way.

ya thats one of the things i was thinking of trying. hi flow lowprofile cats, and straight piping the resonator, then adding a muffler in the rear cause theres a lot of room. or maybe beefing up the 2 small mufflers in the rear. ill try to look for an undercarriage shot, i dont have a great one cause i didnt take it to a lift in a while. widebodyq's pic is hard to judge cause theres so much shrapnel :smiley-rofl:

I can definitely attest to the cat being the lowest point. I just tried driving in a foot of snow and the cat was dragging along while the rest of the car cleared. This is at stock ride height btw.

You have to buy them online and ship them. I did that for my mandrel intercooler piping.

Here's the oval tubing from where I buy mine:

thanks guys. wow that oval tubing bend is expensive. that was my second concern about the oval tubing is gettin it mandrel bent down here if i did bring it. hmmm oval straight pipes would make a lot of clearance up front tho.

anyone took off/ or modified their lower engine tray splash guard thing? i know im not taking it off unless it rips off, but it is pretty low and will be the new lowest point when i do figure something out for the exhaust. i wish i had a full garage lift so i can post pics. my good jack is missing its handle and the junk checkers 2 ton jack is scary sounding when lifting the front of my car.

Mine fell off on the highway a while back but I was so glad it did. It used to scrape everywhere. I am thinking about buying a new one and having it rigged alittle higher so my engine will still have protection but I won't have all the scraping.

On my SC400 the tray started dragging so I ripped it off. I think it only protects from dirt and rocks from flying up into the engine bay. There are plenty of cars out there that don't have the plastic tray so I wouldn't be concerned about removing it.
