Pinstrip should be donw with VIPstyling

I seen many hotrods and lowriders use pinstripe and it kinda cool look to the car.

Have anyone tried to pinstripe there car?

even if its import it sends a message of individuality with a cheap cost

pinstripe

i definetly think a clean pinstripe that compliments the body lines would be a nice simple upgrade.

Pinstripes are cool. If you got the money to do it, def get it painted on. It looks so much better and like you mentioned, you can get more creative. Just hope the pinstriper didnt drink any coffee or redbulls. You don't want him having a shaky hand :runcoold:

i sortof like the Sessions ones, they have a fair few different ones... i may consider a silver one on my car just for something different. at least if it is stuck on you can easily remove it if you get bored of it or change your look up

I'm not really a fan of pinstriping along body lines, the kind that you see factory a lot, or JP style.

I do like the hand painted designs that you see on hotrods, and lowriders... dagger style I think it is...

Doesn't suit my style of car though, I'd like to have a piece somewhere discreet... like a tramp stamp =)

When I had my front end done, I had the body shop remove the goldish pin stripe that was on. I think it looks alot better with out it.

I used NightHawk Black with blue flake to divide my top & bottom blues-
the NH Black matches the roof color.

Painted on first; actually made doing the two-tone easier.

Of course, I am not VIP, but...

I've considered adding a bit more hand painted stripe on the hood or trunk,
but ultimately I always chicken-out.

I think pinstripping would be dope if it's a really really thin line that ends out with some dope word in cursive, like your name maybe. But yeah, if ya gonna do it, get it painted.

pinstriping should be done in a tasteful manner. If you are going to do it on a VIP style vehicle it should compliment the lines of the car, not no crazy stuff that will kill it. ya kno.

As long its not the biker/old school wild pinstripe it would be fine. If I still had my 350Z I would do the Signal Auto pinstripe that they put on all there shop cars. I think it looks sick! But for VIP a very thin stripe would go a long way

pinstripes, to me, are one of those things that are a straight up hit or miss. either you've done it so well it just works completely with the car... or it's just another "thing". the car's body should have it's own lines/structure which allow the pinstripes to look like they're in place. other than that, it doesn't look right (imo) on a car that's designed for subtlety/sleekness. if you've done your car up to the attention getter point (loud paint and other customization that can be noticed without being explained) then adding some pinstripes will just add to how noticible the car is.

in general, it falls into the category of one of those things that could be done. Being able to do it doesn't always make it a good idea, some do it well, and some don't. JP also sells slippers and they used to sell stuffed hello kitties (which I did buy for my gf =)). Companies (in general) will sell anything that provides them with profit without damaging their reputation.

I don't really have good close-up shots for some reason.

I agree, pinstripes are hit-or-miss on cars. I did it as a divider
between the two blue tones. I was afraid that without it, the
two-tone would look unfinished or unintentional. Also, the
NightHawk Black stripe ties-in with the roof, which is the
same color.

Mine are painted on, but when in doubt you could stripe with
vinyl - if you hate it, just peel it off!

Ultimately, I was very pleased with the results...

Technically, that's not a pinstripe. That was masked off, and painted to divide your two colors, correct? A pinstripe is done with a brush (or copied with a sticker). Your car looks amazing though. The two shades of blue compliment the body lines very well.

i'm really thinking hard on a Sessions stripe at the mo...just for something different. but its going to cost me $250AUD (~$200USD) for a pair of stripes plus whatever to get a shop to install them.

my car aint wild at all, i just think its a nice detail that not many people have.
