VIP Mufflers

okay,i know i made a thread about the JP mufflers but i really liked how the type2's looked liked.so does anyone know where and who i can get those style mufflersfrom.like these

i found some on ebay but they are pretty rusty.

how much are the ones you found on ebay? if you want something straight from japan, you can try justin @ eliteautostyle. he helped me get my tips off japan auction.... ofcourse these were made to bolt up to my car. im sure there is a set of pipes made to bolt up to yours on japan auction.

they dont look that bad of a condition.... just polish it out with a mothers power ball or something... if that dont work, spray it flat black.... lol good find, pick it up...

I believe those JP mufflers are discontinued. However, contact our vendors 'jdmpalace' or 'AFLS430' in regards to Junction Produce.

I would take them to a chrome shop and have them completely chromed. The shop could strip and re-chrome I'm sure.

Okay,I just bought the mufflers from ebay.but would any one know what brand it is.I would love to think that its Junction Produce,but I doubt that.it was on a 1st gen Aristo so it should just bolt on,I hope.

rust off.. will treat and eliminate all the surface rust.. then apply a chrome polish after.. i'm sure that will do the trick. let me know if you need help.

that's a pic of a 240 exhaust, but i like the muffler and tip style (its a blitz realize tt)

how do you guys think on a y33?
i want to just get a muffler and have a shop i use weld it on.
anyone suggests brands that look like this?

If you like that style,check out the Apexi World Sport universal mufflers.I think it would look good on your car.

the more i look at it, the more i wish it was dual tip

Im a fan of extended tips. Ive got the Mega from 5Zigen. They look better when the car is super low.

Everything in the car world is custom. They fit the JZZ and the UZZ but I still cut the small flanges off because I dont like stock exhausts. I spent an extra couple hundred on full piping with Cat and Resonator deletes so now they some mean! The MSRP on these axle backs are $900. They have been discontinued. I got one of the last remaining sets in the states.

I have the 5zigen on mine.. but it needs to be lower

went on the 5zigen site and i found the mega exhaust for my 94 Ls400...the price says that its $1000 and thats for a catback?

also does any1 have of know of a video with it on a ls400 caz im looking to buy an exhaust for my car and i wana c how it sounds

I guess... I was hoping for something... but got nothing..  I have seen it with a couple body kits and it looks way better that way.. And i do have one on order(lip kit) but they said 8 to 10 weeks.. so we will see

the 5zigen Mega iirc is a rear section only, not cat back.

yea seeing them on with a body kit is what drew my eye to them...i guess to get anything out of them ud have to remove the resonaters or hollow out the cats or somethin like that...they look good tho.

what about the performance part?

absolutely none at all that I could feel. Hell I think it may even weigh more then the factory units:signdammit:

But I have a lip kit coming that seems to do it some sort of justice on the looks. Plus I think it looks better then some hack job from a muffler shop.

im just disappointing that there is now performance gain at all, and those mufflers coast a pretty penny. I really though about getting some.

I love my greddy!!! the piping is HUGE!!! like over 4 inches and the tips are like  5 inches. sounds like a high class mustang. good performance gains also. the only drawbackis that there may not be any way to get the back of my car flush on 19's without the piping resting on the ground. sitting flush on 20's the piping is like 2 fingers off the ground. we shall see!:shrug:
P.S. i know its not vip. just really clean and aggressive

the real reason why is cuz i had these same wheels in 20' all around but i could not get my front low enough so i got the 19's in the front. then i realized that i was gonna have  problem with my exhaust when i put my factories on. you can see how low my car is on 18' factories in the link below

believe my car was the first second gen gs to have greddy evo catback in on the east coast. would like to see greddy on the back of a ls. If you buy me a new rear section i wil send you my old mufflers for a cut and weld!!!:slap:

Do you still have the stock piping? Ive got the same exhaust. Only I deleted my resonators, 1 cat, and upgraded the piping diameter. It is probably one of the nicest sounding exhausts out there. They get really loud at wide open throttle. And when you're cruising, cops will turn their heads. If I get a hold of my friend's camera I'll try and get a clip for you. Trust me, they can get pretty loud especially when they are hot. When I let the car warm up on idle in my garage it rattles the walls in the house.

i like the sound of that.  hopefully u can get that clip up.  i dont want to loose all hope for that exhaust caz it looks really nice

naa not with that kind of angle.  they make one where the end of the tip is angled up like this

or u can get one thats has the tips come straight out 
or u can just buy the muffler and go to a local muffler shop with a pic of what you want and they will make one for u

Sounds like a plan. I just need to make sure I find one with a 3 inch inlet then I'll get dual 3 inch tips angled up. I don't like the dtm one. Thanks for the help so far.

i'm personally not a fan of seeing the muffler itself. i like it when you only see the tips. that's just my opinion. different strokes for different folks

you got to admit that it does look better on the ground! And with the kit I got comin it will look even better

i personally also really dont like the huge muffler look on luxury cars. painting it black helps, but just looks more oem. i prefer no muffler with just piping and a tip. :shrug:

I love the low hanging huge muffler look. This picture has been my wallpaper for a while now.

yeah...like the muffler look also...i'm old school from the greddy/trust and tanabe medallion days.    I don't know if some would remember but Stromung had some nice sounding exhaust....deep and low.

True.  To me, the (oversized) canister makes the car look sportier.  Though I agree with your post as a whole, the muffler you posted isn't my style--it's too oval resulting in very ugly bends at the side.  That muffler/exhaust system ruins the Mode Parfume kit, in my opinion.

hey mitsa808, what is the make and model of mufflers you have?, they sound mean as hell.  did you just add mufflers or did you also do special piping?  if those are discontinued, what other make and model would give me a similar sound?  thanks a lot man!!!

jaynick is that the kbreak muffler if not what is it and where'd you get it. I want to do something like that for my F50. But would to have the ability to change back to stock if I ever decide to. I was already planning on deleting the last muffler on my F50 I think they have plenty, I tried to count them while running wires but can't remember how many I saw. I think there are a few people running pipes without the last muffler on here and some other forums any info you or anyone else wanna share would be great.

well from the engine side it goes 2 cats 1 resonator 2 mufflers and 1 40lb muffler. lol im serious that rear muffler is heavy as hell. when i can find a way to upload the video ill show you what it sounds like. i removed the resonator and the rear muffler. so i have the 2 cats and 2 mufflers still. it seemed louder when i first got it back, or maybe i got used to it. 
i have a modeparfume exhaust, the kbreak looks quite similar but says kbreak on the edge of the tip and comes with a muffler i believe. mine is a straight pipe axle back w/tip. if i knew it was just a fancy polished pipe i would have got just the tip and have the exhaust shop mandrel bend a system for me.
im still trying to upload a video to youtube, but ive been having trouble hopefully i can figure it out today.

they are actually just pipes. no mufflers, just pipes, have no idea on the brand cuz i got them off YAJ, they probably just welded up some pipes to hang and bolt up to a ucf1x, then polished them...
