how are these installed? take old material off and add this new one? or does it lay over the old leather?

it's a replacement cover. you have to remove the old ones first.

you can do it yourself as shown here:

or get a professional shop to do it. the local upholsterer quoted me $250cdn to do it.

save yourself some money and do it yourself. i put this kit on myself with no experience, took me about 8 hours total to do it, in a span of 2 days
