VIP Infiniti I35

I know this is not a traditional VIP platform but I ended up buying one anyway. It was affordable and had low miles. Does anyone  have any pics of a VIP Style I35 or know of any sites that have VIP style parts for these. I have a 2002 Black,  I wish I had a another GS but they are out of my budget for right now.  But I still want to make my car look and feel like my own.  I am not a chessey Wings West body kit kinda guy. I like to do things right or not at all. So please help? The Goal is VIP! thanks

a33 isn't as good of a styled platform as the a32 imo, but you can do a little sumpin sumpin. you got the i35 thing working for you vs, trying to do a mixima.

step 1: slam it. jic is your best option although tein makes some a33 apps.

step 2: wheels. buy somethin nice. 8.5/9.5 +30mm or so, depending on your style preference, is what to look for.

step 3: signature kit maybe (same company that made auto couture so the quality is there)?

step 4: go light on the accessories. i wouldn't try to push too far into vip territory (no pillows, curtains, fusas, etc.). just keep it clean and work off the oem styling.

i knew it was gonna be that one. its clean by maxima.org standards but imho is the same old tinted headlights, taillights, gunmetal oem wheels, etc.

my favorite is the "vip style trunk lip spoiler". didn't even know that existed.

since then the back has been lowered more, smaller tires put on, she has the Sessions Sakura neck pads and red fusa.  The plans are to get the fitment much better and lower the back more, HID's in the Fogs and headlights as well as LEDs in the clear side markers and get rid of all the ugly gold trim replaced with the silver.  Thats just whats currently planned....so far.

this is true, but it is clean. i don't see too many clean i30/35's, must are dubbed out with 20's. you only see the styled ones overseas.

Once my girls is out of the shop (she got backed into last week) I will try to get some pics.  Work on it has stalled around the holidays though...

^ that because there isn't really a low kit for these here and because no one has really done one right yet.  As stated, most of them are Dubbed or just have wheels thrown on etc.

Put it to you like this, I almost bought one and was thinkin about doin this wayyyyyy back b4 the Q, until I realized that it was too hard to find the right parts to make this work!

Start with the fundamentals. Stance!! You can spend thousands of dollars on junction stuff, body kits, paint, etc and it still wouldnt be right without proper "vip" stance. Slam it with good sized wheels and go from there. If youre gonna run springs, not mod fenders, not tuck tire at least, or stretch youre wasting your time:thelaw:

It's the girls car and she loves it...it is a daily driver that she is slowly modding, not a show car that is trying to VIP.....besides I have the Q45 for VIP.

I say get a custom built coil overs.:biggthumpup:Or slam it on air.It could look VIP flavored.Just don't rice it out.

For the most part, when its not a platform car, you almost have to do the traditional route and put WORK DH's on with a boxy body kit for anyone to even think its vip styled. If its a real platform car, you can do anything you want as long as its slammed and it will be considered a vip car.

fer shizzle. if you are really chasin the label then sticking to the formula is the way to go. then when you got a nice vip styled car ppl will say "man, with all the parts you put on it it would be sick if it was a platform". so you can either have, in the eyes of many, a generally clean i30/35 or some awesome vip parts on a shitty car. slam it, shoe it, touch up some details, and call it a day. imo of course.

No problem, we  build our cars for our own enjoyment.  She wants to be low and wide thats all....

Damn I expected a bigger response. Well it is what it is. I know its a tough build but i have it and will have to make the best with it. Any ideas on coilovers?

The heads and tails are killin it for me....for this car to catch my eye IMO it would have to be on the ground (literally) w/ crazy sick offsets, i porb would have hunted down a 929 first...

best of luck, but i personally would never buy/recommend k-sport, [I]especially[/I] used without a warranty. some never have problems but some blow 3-4 struts in a year. worst case scenario without a warranty your not looking at any savings, with a warranty you're looking at a headache.

Under $300, I'd do K-Sport too. Cheaper than getting just springs.

But yeah, K-Sport sucks the big one, and I'm gonna stick to that. (At least until they start sending me free dampers to hush me:smiley-rofl:)

i think an a33 slammed with jics on ac wheels with the signature kit would be about as good as you can get.

Thanks man I have been getting frustrated trying to find sites with decent parts for this car and haven't found anything i like really. It definitly not my GS. lol But let me know of any other pics or tips you come across. thanks.

I totally agree, but they were less than a year old and I got them for $280 installed.....:biggthumpup:  Was going to save up and get JIC but couldn't pass on that deal.  She has had them for about 6 months now

i just bought an 01 maxima (a33) the other week...its my current baby mobile (needed something bigger than the 240)

i know its not a true VIP platform, and the styling isn't very VIP at all...but the lady and I have talked about bagging it eventually...

honestly on the a32/a33 you don't get much more usable drop from bags than you do with coils without doing some pretty major mods.

anyone know a good website to purchase a32 cefiro parts? my friend has one and he's thinking of switching out his lights and grille.

ebay is the best source for parts. i don't know anyone who stocks genuine nissan cefiro parts, but the aftermarket replacements are good enough.

coilovers are your best bet for a nice drop, less work than bags and cheaper.

i'm trying to talk her into coilovers (what I'd prefer) but she wants to keep it a smooth ride for the baby. i'm probably fighting a losing battle with her about it, lol.
